Can SQ's F pax use LH-F lounge in FRA?

Flying SQ 26 in F from FRA-JFK sometime from now. Any chance I could use the LH F lounge in either A or B pier? I know there is a rule that says if you have an F BP on any Star airline you can use the F lounge of any star carrier? Has anyone tried doing this before?
Thanks

That is a strict NO according to the rules.

I don't know about FRA, but when I flew LH C CDG-FRA, I was directed to use the First Class section as a PPS (*G).
Was this something exclusive to CDG LH lounge, or has LH changed their lounge policy?

The CDG Lounge is a designated SENATOR/FIRST CLASS/* GOLD lounge.

FRA has new HON-First lounges and the First terminal now which are used exclusively by HON's and LH metal F class pax ONLY.

Senators and *Gold still use the same lounges as before in FRA i.e. the Senator / * Gold lounges.

See the LH forum for heaps of posts on the new HON stuff.

I have read about the new LH F terminal and seen pics of it. ^

Thanks for clearing that up, AJLondon.

It's a pleasure.
I would recommend you try it out sometime. Sure beats anything else I've ever seen at any airport!

Quick question:

What if the SQ flight is codeshare with LH (and the ticket is booked with LH flight no.)?

AFAIK still no as not LH-operated, but YMMV.

Of course thats a tough choice. LH code for extra miles and maybe, just maybe, a chance at F terminal; or SQ code for PPS credits.

Interesting question.

Probably just a LH flightnumber will not be sufficient. LH metal is important as they drive you to your plane. Not sure the driver will even be allowed to drop you off at the SQ flight to JFK which leaves from something like gate C13. But then, if you are a HON member you will get the service also when flying the closest LH partner airlines I guess.

The text below is from the LH website (http://www.miles-and-more.com/mam/de...314907,00.html) about HON Lounges location and access rules:

HON Circle Lounge in the First Class Terminal

The First Class Terminal at Frankfurt Airport is directly adjacent to Terminal 1.

By car: approach on the access road to Terminal 1. Around 200 m before you reach Terminal 1, there is a turn-off to the First Class Terminal. By public transport: the First Class Terminal is just a ten-minute walk from Terminal 1. The lounge is situated directly after the security check. The First Class Terminal in Frankfurt is open daily from 5:30 a.m. to 10:45 p.m., and the lounge is open daily from 5:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Access to the new First Class Terminal in Frankfurt is reserved for
HON Circle Members and Lufthansa First Class customers, flying on the relevant day from Frankfurt with Lufthansa, Lufthansa Regional, Austrian Airlines Group or Air Dolomiti. Each customer may also take a travelling companion and family members (spouse or partner, children) into the First Class Terminal, when they are accompanying him on the flight.

HON Circle Lounge in Terminal 1, Pier A

Go through the security check immediately after the check-in for Business and First-Class customers, and then follow the signs for "Lufthansa Lounges" until you reach the Senator/Business Lounge. After the Senator/Business Lounge, and before Gate A26 is a stairway. Take the stairs to Level 3, where you will find the HON Circle Lounge.

The lounge is available to HON Circle Members and Lufthansa First Class passengers flying from or arriving in Frankfurt or making a connecting flight there. Each customer may also take a travelling companion and family members (spouse or partner, children) into the lounge.

HON Circle Lounge in Terminal 1, Pier B

After passing through the BGS security check, take the escalator to Level 3. Go past the row of catering facilities - on the right coming from the escalator. At the end of the catering row, turn left, following the "Casino" signs. The HON Circle Lounge is directly after the Casino.

The lounge is available to HON Circle Members and Lufthansa First Class passengers flying from or arriving in Frankfurt or making a connecting flight there. Each customer may also take a travelling companion and family members (spouse or partner, children) into the lounge.
