I meant the agent couldn't book me on SQ1027 YYZ-LHR if it wasn't followed by a LHR-SIN segment.

ie. if I wanted SQ327 or SQ345, I had to book the YYZ-LHR segment on the AC flight number instead of the SQ codeshare bumber.

SQ and MH codeshare

SQ is codesharing with MH on SIN-PEN flights.

SIN - PEN: SQ5652 and SQ5658
PEN - SIN: SQ5653 and SQ5659

I took SQ5653 in April and am still waiting for the miles to show up in my KF account after 6 weeks.

Sorry for this very basic question regarding SQ code-shares:

Can I still earn PPS segments & miles if I book SQ 25 FRA-SIN as LH 9762? LH appears not to have a tight yield management as SQ so getting a seat is easier this way.

No. It needs to have SQ flight number. A shame for me too, as otherwise I'd pick up credits for some trans-tasman trips too.

Thanks a lot, Kiwi Flyer ! I really wonder why it makes a difference to them, because ultimately SQ operates the flight and not LH.

Kiwi Flyer (or someone else of these very knowledgeable SQ FT members), could you please confirm that my understanding correct:

People aiming for LH HON & SQ PPS, they would get on the route FRA - SIN

SQ 25 booked as SQ 25: PPS credits & no HON credits

SQ 25 booked as LH 9762: No PPS credits & no HON credits

LH 778 booked as LH 778: HON credits & no PPS credits

LH 778 booked as SQ 2007: HON credits & PPS credits

One word: revenue. LH gets a cut if you book with LH code. You are paying LH for the ticket, LH pays SQ to transport you, LH takes a cut. Yes, SQ operates the flight, but they are getting less revenue than if you book with SQ code.

Ok, thanks for the clarification.

In my case SQ 25 shows C4 J0 D0 (and I need D for my RTW) but LH 9762 shows C4 D4 Z4 - I would assume that SQ gets more revenue if they release a D seat for me rather getting a share of what LH sells of the flight...

Why do they allow LH to sell discounted biz seats when they are not willing to do so themselves?

Sq/lh Sin-fra-beg

I will fly to Belgrade in July. My ticket bears LH flight nos. but the longhaul is operated by SQ (rather fly SQ than LH if I can avoid it) before it connects on to Yugoslav Airlines to Belgrade (BEG). Will I get SQ tier miles for flying on an SQ jet even though it is an LH flight no.? Secondly, is Yugoslav a *A member? It bears an LH flight no.

Thanks.
