Marriott Bonvoy/KrisFlyer partnership
Recieved an email titled Introducing Our Preferred Partnership With KrisFlyer from Marriott a few hours ago. In essence:
Upgrade for 12 months with just four flights on Singapore Airlines within six months of linking accounts. View your KrisFlyer statement to track your flight history.
Tried searching for an existing thread so if I missed something I deeply apologize.
This is the site Marriott linked to for matching, despite me being US English.
- Direct match MR Gold -> KrisFlyer SIlver

Below link provides a useful summary. Doesn't really apply to me as I have PPS and Bonvoy Platinum status already. Most important point as noted in the article is when to link based on your renew dates.

I received this as well. Given that I'll miss out on Aeroplan 50K this year which would give me *A Gold, I am really tempted to join this program as I am already Titanium Bonvoy member. My only question is what is considered a 'qualifying flight"? for example if I took a flight from TAO-SIN-KUL-SIN-TAO (currently ~$300) would that give me the 4 flights required?

Anybody have recommendations for the cheapest same-day RT flights on SQ out of BKK?
I'm considering a quick run to get the 4 flights and *G.

Would flights on Scoot be considered "qualifying"?

Does this only mean they exclude SQ-marketed flights operated by other airlines, or would flights marketed by other airlines but operated by SQ also be excluded? Asking because at *A it's the operating carrier that usually matters (and because LH has some great fares on SQ metal at the moment ).
