Private F room at LAX

Flew SQ11 in F and was taken to a private room within the *A FC lounge. Had an escort all the way from check in to the lounge. Flight went out 4/4.

Did they think I was someone special or was that SOP?

FWIW, an attendent took my order, brought it and I never saw them, or anyone else again. Wanted to order some more food but the entire lounge was deserted. The TV also had some sort of volume lock on a whisper which was annoying.

Interesting experience but would decline next time.

Btw, if you're the pax on the flight who kept the whole cabin awake with your insufferable snoring (could literally hear it over the noise canceling headphones with a movie playing) and you're reading this, go see a doctor and fly private next time.
Singapore_Air and vantage03 like this.

They do offer “meet and greet” out of outstations on occasion, it has been hit or miss though. I am in two minds about this but then again it is sop with the likes of lh and af, so perhaps Sq trying to follow suit.

Sorry to hear abt your experience inflight on account of the snoring pax. Your description did make me smile. I reckon crew were to paiseh to say anything to the snorer.

Interesting as I just flew BER-FRA-IAD on LH and had zero anything until I hoofed it to the LH FC terminal.

I'm not sure the crew would have been willing to wake someone up, or should have, but they heard how loud it was and knew the rest of us were pissed. It's unbelievable something could be that audile on a moving aircraft. It's equally unbelievable the pax didn't know about their condition and still chose to saw logs for 8+ hours.

As far as FRA is concerned that is pretty poor service from LH. AF still remains the best all around airline in my opinion when it comes to these things.

I have experienced similar from a fellow pax at FRA AC lounge. Loud snorer to the extent it sounded unreal. Not much you can do abt this, unfortunately. But I hear you.

SQ CC are known for being reluctant in confronting pax in situations like these.

That’s interesting, does SQ have anything similar at FRA? I assume not.

Interesting...I have this coming up in May....so you went to the physical check-in desk (I'm assuming)? Did they escort you through security too and onto the plane from the lounge?

Yes, they do. You need to request “meet and greet” (they have not been able to offer this consistently on account of staff shortages). If the ground agent knows what they are doing, you might be able to skip security when connecting to a * Alliance Schengen flight on arrival with SQ.

I went to the physical check in desk. He came out from behind the desk and personally took me through security presenting my boarding pass and passport to TSA (and tried to cut the precheck line, but i said no) called the lounge on the way to let them know I was coming and to reserve the private room (there are 2, so somehow he must have known one would be vacant). I don't know if I was last to check in because the other F pax would have found an empty F counter, or SQ would have had to get someone else to staff it.

He introduced me to the lounge attendant and walked me to the room. A minute later there was a knock on the door to take my order from someone who placed it on an iPad. I went for quick walk in the J lounge, came back, my food was there and from that minute on I was ghosted. Wanted to order a flat bread, never saw anyone for 45 minutes, gave up and went to the gate. Here's the menu and pic of the room. Menu looks great! Wish I could have ordered it!

Hah appreciate the details - this does not seem worth it. Assuming I don't need to grab a boarding pass at the desk, I think I'll just ask at the lounge...apparently there's a rooftop at the *A lounge that I'd like to check out. I'm semi-curious to check the Centurion lounge out despite everyone saying its awful

I think of may have to use the desk for a boarding pass even if you are transiting NRT. You definitely do if NRT is your final destination.

Yes, the outdoor space at *A J lounge is very nice.

I haven't flown SQ yet...but there's this "Auto Check-In" on the site where I provided all the necessary documents and Passport #s....who knows. I'm pretty sure we will get there with enough time to visit the lounge so a physical check-in won't kill us

Auto check in won't populate a boarding pass. I terminated at NRT and they had to inspect my vaccination card.

yes. Long walks and multiple stops but they make it very, very easy.

Pro tip. Ground handling pulls the luggage so most likely your bag is already off the belt even if you're first off the plane. Jetlgged and forgot that, I stood around 5 minutes waiting for bags that were already off the belt lol

Is that because you have to check in F? Do they escort you at NRT off the plane and through the process (I assumed no)?
