Didn't find the answer with a search but someone must know: have you upgraded your SQ flight with SQ miles, and then credited it to AS? Is this allowed?

I have a U-class booking later this year upgraded to suites on JFK-FRA-SIN with an advantage upgrade award. I then got an SQ phone agent to switch the FF number on the booking to my AS number. Will let you know if it credits but I expect it will, the redemption of miles for the upgrade seems to just produce an "upgrade certificate" with its own ticket number, so there doesn't seem to be any requirement that you subsequently credit the flights back to that FF account.

If anyone knows more definitively please chime in.
