With the all-new lounge open from today, perhaps a timely all-new thread for pics, reviews, first impressions ands experiences?

I'll kick off with these pics, snapped during a pre-opening visit last week.

And Aaron from The Mile Lion is now in the lounge, ahead of his flight to Sydney, so you can expect more pics and first-hand impressions of the lounge in action later today at https://milelion.com.

Just arrived in from Frankfurt connecting to KUL
The lounge can’t cope .
Queues to get in to the lounge . Hour long Queues for showers ( they have given up with the bleeps )
Took three rounds to find anything other than a bar seat
Looks tatty and scruffy already .Not a pleasant experience

What time did you use the lounge (as there are two SQ flights from FRA daily)?

I hear the morning and late evening/ night time slots are very busy as this is one lounge to serve all at the moment. Relief will only come when the separate Gold Lounge for KFEG and *A Gold opens up.

I flew last week to Europe - midnight flight - arrived around 9pm'ish at Changi ....no seats at all, people sitting on window ledges even. Eventually had to hang at the bar as I didn't want to keep walking around eying for a seat to come free.

Nice buzz though and its good to see air travel back u again!

It has been the case since last December.
I could see the people flooding in from 8:30pm. Hard to get a seat after 9pm.

I read somewhere that SQ expects to about 60% of pre-pandemic capacity very shortly. That's with, at the moment, probably less than 25% of lounge capacity ... (used to have 7 lounges operating ... T2 SKL, T2 KFGL, T2 FCL, T3 SKL, T3 KFGL, T3 FCL and T3 TPR), now just one with arguably the footprint of 2. No wonder things are bursting. Need those extra lounges to open up ASAP.

I'm hopeful for my lunch time departure to hit a lull period. Fingers crossed.

Lounge capacity is definitely not helped by loads of people who got KFEG status not by usual flying, but through their last exercise of transferring partner points to KF miles...

it was SQ25 arrived at 7am.
The lounge did get much quieter at about 1030am . I still would not describe it as having a premium feel though . The food stations still could not cope . There is a lot of lying down sleeping on sofas etc . Dragging of furniture around to make beds. The below made me smile . It’s the contrast between the onboard service that makes the lounge short comings so obvious . The lounge as it is is long and thin . Furthest from the food stations there is no table QR code ordering available . Even when capacity is sorted it’s not going to be a great lounge in my view .

Good one . Actually, if I saw correctly when someone did ask for those cookies, they are not in small packages so for hygiene reasons they don't put out the bigger roll and then people dig in with their hands (as some surely would).

Was there around noon and it was maybe 60-70% full so I honestly can imagine it getting packed to the max during the busy morning and late night departure bank of flights.

Heard SQ even sending overflow to SATS Premier lounge or such if needed. As others pointed out, they have one lounge right now where there would be 3 (not counting TPR separately) in T3 alone and the also 3 in T2. It is just not possible to cope with recent heavier loads.
