Upgrade: Krug to Krug 2004

Singapore Airlines has replaced Krug Grand Cuvee with Krug Vintage 2004 on all Suite and First Class flights. They are now the only ones serving vintage Krug and I guess they can claim the crown of serving the most expensive champagne (considering they serve it consistently on all flights).

Dom Perignon is still available as the alternative choice.

I think the prize of "most expensive champagne in the air" still goes to JL and their Salon offering.

As far as I know they don't serve Krug on shorter F flights like CGK and MNL, only Dom, unless this has changed with the Krug 2004?

I suppose I'll find out tomorrow!

400 USD beats 300 USD but then JAL doesn't really have a large network where they fly First to... On SQ you just need to fly SIN-HKG and can enjoy Krug 2004.

Sadly, I found the Salon served onboard too young to be really enjoyable and on back to back legs I preferred the LPGS served on BA.

If you know how to work Krisflyer you can get your Suites flight to Hong Kong for as little as 120 USD, so you could indeed consider the flight just for trying this champagne.

For people actually flying the route, they might fly Suites instead of Business. The difference is just 10,000 miles. So roughly 150 USD.

Wow this is impressive. The 2004 KRUG is an amazing wine. Looking forward to it if they're still serving it at the end of the month!!
