Where you able to input your KTN on your reservation or at check-in as to signify to the TSA computers your membership for determination of getting PreCheck for that flight? Without the KTN your chances of getting PreCheck are slim to none and getting slimmer.
I didn't, had no idea it is something to enter in manually. Just so use to US airlines knowing it automatically. Will have to try this on my next flight in a few months!

Where do you see it? Is it only on the US flights only?

I looked and there is no where to update it in the profile.

It is convenient when Frequent Flyer profiles store your KTN but the airline still needs that info inputted at least the first time to send the info the TSA for PreCheck determination.

I just want to point out some items that some may not know about KTN/GE versus APIS and a SA example.

Since those of us who fly Air Canada have had this access for years, there are issues and sometimes it is the airline and how they implement the format/coding on their website and sometimes, it just other issues

In my FF profiles with U.S. airlines, there is a field for the KTN #

When you buy a ticket, it automatically populates along with all of your other info (name, birth date etc)

Then there is the API (or APIS) info that the U.S. requires. Each airline must have this for every passenger entering the U.S. If the airline has your FF profile set up such that the info is transmitted from the ticket purchase, life will be smooth.

If the airline has a separate form for APIS (required minimum IIRC 48 or 72 hours prior to travel), and the info doesn't get forwarded properly, there will be issues.

While SQ has received TSA approval as an airline, it does not necessarily mean that all passengers will get TSA Pre-check on their BPs

We know even those who had GE and who have U.S. passports, sometimes get SSSS'd.

I can tell you that based on my experience, LH has an excellent set-up and my experiences entering the U.S. on their flights have gone perfectly.

But it doesn't always work with all airlines who have received the approval. It is either the software or the communication of the info.

----

Finally, if one is on SQ departing LAX in particular - TBIT (Tom Bradley International Departures Terminal) does NOT have TSA Pre-check. I've gone through there a few times including last week. It's nasty. Shoes off, liquids out etc etc, dirty floors......

If you are able to get TSA-pre on your BP departing LAX, you can walk over to T4, use the TSA line there and take the airside connector back to TBIT.

I have been flying paid Suites class SIN-JFK-SIN once every 10 weeks for the past 4 years. At JFK, I have always been escorted by the check in agent who personally walks me over to the very last security line, gets me into number 1 position in the TSA security line (they most definitely have some arrangement with TSA) and the walks me over to the VS Lounge. Even 0ffers to come back to pic up from the Lounge when it's time.
They did this when I was KF regular member all the way thru Gold, PPS and now Solitaire status. It is the best service especially for the time of day and the number of Intl flights leaving at that time.
Curious to know if this a standard service for Suites revenue pax.
I am amazed by it to this day and always more than a little embarrassed.

Connection time of 3 hours is a very very comfortable gap as other posters have said.
