Options to spend a couple of hours at Changi on arrival at 3am

Hi all!

In a bit of a pickle...
Landing on SQ11 at Changi at 3am (first time in Suites - woot!! woot!!). We're staying with friends and don't want to land up on their doorstep at 4am. Unfortunately, we will have checked bags. The goal is to try and spend a couple of hours at Changi before heading to our friends' place.

Question is: what are our options after collecting baggage considering we are not in transit?

Will we get access to the SilverKris lounge airside on arrival, and if we do, what happens to our checked bags? Will the luggage office hold the bags until we come get them? This would be the ideal scenario!

There is no airline lounge access on arrival and no airline arrivals lounge.
You collect your luggage and there are plenty of places to hang out - coffee shops etc.
Or you can pay for lounge access - as per Changi website

You can also stay airside and later claim luggage from lost luggage if you don't mind it sitting there for a while.

There is a lounge called The Haven in the public area of terminal 3 which would suit your needs.

If you were lucky you'd arrive into that terminal, otherwise you'd need to take a shuttle bus the short distance from terminal 2

Why don't you stay for a few hours in one of the Ambassador Transit Hotels which you can find airside? I'm fairly certain you can rent them for a few hours only, and then simply collect your luggage afterwards from the "lost" luggage counter...?

This is a good recommendation. I crashed at the Heaven for a few hours after getting off of SQ 11 a few months ago. The sleeping rooms are basic but they work.

It's expensive, but IIRC the JetQuai (spelling?) service would allow you to use their facilities as an arrivals lounge.

IIRC T2 has a Starbucks near the subway (MRT) entrance/exit on the departures level.

I vaguely recall several regulars in other threads asserting that as an arriving first/suites passenger you DO have lounge access as an unpublished benefit. Or maybe as a 'case by case basis' *shrug*

No harm trying I suppose. TPR won't be open at 3am, but the other lounges are open 24 hours.

You could take advantage of the $40 credit on loungebuddy and get access to a few lounges in T3
