Ist - Sin then Sin - Mel in J class saver
Hi All,
I'm wanting to fly back from Istanbul to Melbourne via Singapore (stopover for a stretch) on or around 15/16 Aug 2015.
I have around 74k in points and a saver fare in J class is enough for both legs however I'm finding that only the 'standard' fare is available which requires 145k points.
It lists the 'saver fare' as not available or waitlist.
So my question is whether this can still be done on a saver fare by waiting longer in hope the airline releases these? I haven't called the S'Pore office yet as I assume they will say the same thing.
Anyone got any ideas in this situation?

Waitlist -- yes, Not available -- no.
Saver fares usually become "not available" after all inventory and waitlist positions fill up. Your best bet would be to put yourself on the waitlist for now and wait. I would suggest calling SQ as some call center agents will be able to give you an indication of your position on the waitlist.
