What is the longest Q400 flight?

Trying to put together some iterations of "longest ______ flight."

What is the longest regularly-scheduled flight in the AC network operated on a Q400?

The longest I could find just playing around is YUL-YWK at 522 nautical miles, with YYR-YHZ coming in at 521.

I've done YXE-YVR on an AC Q400 in the past - 652 nmi - but I believe it's all jets now.

YOW-YHZ still operates on a Q400, at 517 nmi.

I don't know if it's currently on the schedule but I'm seeing YVR-YQR in September on the Q400.

Pre-covid I've done YQM-YYZ in an AC Express Q400 ... 749 miles per Aeroplan or 653nm per Great Circle Mapper (and too long no matter how we measure it!).

Reminds me that I tried to stitch together a YYT/YYJ trip all on props on AC. Beech 1900’s and Dashes. There was a great divide between YAM YQT and YWG.

Love me a good Dash. Not enough props out there anymore.

Not really scheduled flights, but my guess is, some flights going to YWK or YYR that get diverted back to origin. Not familiar with flights in the west but I suspect the flights to Fort St. John may get turned back to YVR too.

If you want to count IRROPS this will lose all meaning in a hurry. May as well just assume some hypothetical where a Q400 had to circle for hours in bad weather and then declared an emergency to land immediately at bingo fuel.

Agreed.

I think I've done YQR-YVR (830 miles), but that was years ago.

The other issue here is that the answer to this question could change monthly if the goal is "right now".

YOW-YOW with some sightseeing loops over Halifax is about 1200nm, 3-4 hours on the Dash

They used to fly YYC-YZF in a Q, that was around 785 miles.

I've done YYG-YYZ when YYG was to windy for the CR9.
That was about 10 years ago.
It's shown up a couple times YVR-YXY when the CR9 was broken.

I believe my record for YYZ-YOW is two and a half hours, and the diversion airport they announced while circling was somehow DTW.

but that wasnt on a Dash.
