Plane seat map, seatguru vs Delta.com, exit rows

I chose flight DL1298 from LAX-KOA 10/16 because I could get exit row seats with my Delta Silver. But now Seatguru is showing row 21 as standard seats, not exit row. The Delta map shows it as exit row. Anybody know how I can find out for sure? Which is usually more accurate?

Plane is a Boeing 737-900ER. Delta shows 5 rows of main cabin before 3 exit rows, 19, 20 and 21. Seatguru shows 4 rows of main cabin before 2 exit rows, so 19 and 20 are the exit rows.

Seatguru is known to be outdated and inaccurate. I would trust the DL seat maps, but be aware that aircraft substitutions are possible.

You could try calling DL to verify that you have exit row seats.

Never go by seatguru. It's frequently messed up. Always go by what DL shows.

In this case I checked, DL only shows rows 19 and 20 as exit rows on it generic seat layout page.

21A may be labeled an exit seat as there's no seat at 20A. Thus the system thinks the whole row is an exit row on the actual seat selection page in your reservation.

All 3 rows(19, 20, 21) are exit rows and you must meet the requirements to sit there.

But in my experience, rows 20/21 have no extra leg room except 21A/F due to the missing seat. 19 does, but also has zero recline.

If you have a +1 row 20 isn't bad. No extra room, but you don't have to share a row.

19 is the best row if I recall correctly (only been on a couple 739s this year) so take those if available.

No recline but because it's an exit row I think row 18 is also no recline but could be mistaken

As others pointed out, rows 20 and 21 have standard leg room (except 21A and 21F due to missing seats in 20A and 20F).
Row 21 doesn't exactly line up with the exit doors but it can be used to access the exit since 20A and 20F don't exist. So Delta designates all 3 rows as exit rows due to proximity to the exit doors.
Go with row 19 if you are going for the extra leg room.

What's really interesting is that I was in row 21 two weeks ago, and the FA didn't even have the willing-and-able-to-help conversation with our row.
Last week, I was in row 19, and that FA went over the exit row responsibility with all 3 rows.
Go figure.

Row 21 technically isn't an Exit Row, but rather 21A/F are exit seats. It might seem weird but it makes a difference. Only A and F in row 21 need to meet emergency exit requirements. Thus why FA only need to brief A and F. However out of habit they sometimes brief the whole row, as normally the whole row is exit seats or none are.

I sit in row 19 in the 739 a lot. In my experience the FAs are super inconsistent about including all of row 21, none of row 21, or just 21A&F in the willing to assist check. Same with 27A on the 321s.

I would expect the seats in row 21 to recline but not those in rows 19 and 20.

Let me ask you more experienced flyers the same question about the Airbus A321. Delta's seatmap would seem to indicate that 13E and 13 F have a bit more exit-row legroom, and that 14D has a good bit of extra legroom because of the missing seat in front. Am I right on this?
[Fwiw I'm looking specifically at DL 1890 DFW-ATL, though I see the same thing on several other flights I've booked.]

My take on this is that row 19 buys you extra leg room and no recline like most exit rows. Row 20 buys you no extra legroom but seats B and E have room to the side and an extra tray table on some of the aircraft. Row 21 is a regular row with no extra legroom except for A and F which have unlimited legroom and usually a screen that pops up from the armrest.

Yes -- wrong thread (this is focused on the 739) but on the A321 all of Row 13 has lots of legroom, 14D is great but all of 14 is pretty good, and 26DEF (27DEF on some A321s that don't have a row 26) has legroom for days (reminiscent of row 9 on the old UA PS planes)

Only 21A/F are exit seats per regulation.

+1
14d is the best seat then 13e unless you want to sit back in 26 which has amazing legroom but is by the bathroom.
