I booked SYD-HKG-PVG in Premium Economy Essential (E), but the HKG-PVG leg is in economy (H). What earn rate should I expect the economy leg to credit at?

Total earn with segment breakdown are always displayed during the booking process.

CX seems to only credit HKGPVG as H class LIGHT in this case, which means 15 status points and 1500AM, but I have challenged CX on this, saying since E is an ESSENT fare, the connecting H class flight should be considered ESSENT, too. CX has yet responded to me.

An Asia Miles award ticket is always issued by CX and will always have a CX-160 ticket number, which is the only ticket number. CX and JL both use Amadeus and share the same record locator as well.

Question about mid status benefits.

Going to turn gold next month with my flight.
My SP returns to 0. Do I have to restart and get 1000SP to get the mid status benefits of upgrade cert or 400 is sufficient?

You will need 1000SP to get that.

I dunno if anyone encountered this.

(Tomorrow's flight)
F2A2 I applied 2 DM upgrade vouchers 4 months ago. And they didn't clear. Instead, they open 2 AM redemption ..... and 1 seat gone. Upgrade not successful.

That sucks. They clearly value AM higher than the BUDS. I think it's a function of the accounting carrying value, if they're even accounted for now (the Asia Miles are a very straightforward calculation - a liability - on the CX balance sheet, at X cents per Asia Mile. Booking them on a ticket means revenue to CX and a corresponding reduction in the liability. My guess is the BUDS are valued at some stupid cheap level as a liability, or aren't even a liability but maybe a promotional expense at the time of issuance. No matter the BUDS accounting. I'm certain it means the Asia Miles upgrades or outright awards are better for the CX bottom line. All non cash silliness of course, but I think that's the reason. CX obviously missing forest for trees with this one but given they've effectively retired the program as it stood, doubt they care anymore.

Remains to be seen how they'll treat the new F upgrade vouchers, which are for Diamond Executive only. Hopefully they treat them better.

Flying BA/CX, anyone knows if I can credit to CX but use my BA privilege as BA Gold? Want to try CX first class lounge at Heathrow but chasing Diamond in CX. BA is my first leg.

Called in again, this time as Emerald (previously Sapphire), and 12A unlocked at 48 hours....

Does anyone have a guess as to when CX will open award seats for travel in April 2027? Transferred points to Cathay about 3 weeks ago to try to get 2x J seats for LAX-HKG in April 2027. I've been checking every day and haven't seen anything show up.

Hi, i redeemed 2 separate flights using Asiamiles so I got 2 PNRs for 2 pax. We will be flying together outbound but inbound is different dates. For outbound flight, can I ask the check-in staff to link the 2 PNRs so my friend's baggage can be tagged as priority or will they automatically tag the baggage as priority even without linking the 2 PNRs?
