Are FAs able to provide feedback like this (as well as cooking times for the potato) to AS inflight that actually gets incorporated into catering? I agree--the chicken enchiladas do look pretty delicious!

In decades of flying on several airlines, the crews have always said "write it up, they listen to you more than they listen to us." One can only hope that AS still has hearing aids in 2026. Or at least Alaska Listens-ing Aids.

The Shrimp Vermicelli Noodle Salad was terrible all around. My bad for even trying it I suppose...

jrl, you've helped me decide...I was shying away from the shrimp salad because of the cilantro, but I see you can just pick it off. And I don't mind "two" salads since the shrimp salad is mostly noodles. But I see your point about the clash of flavors, and cold onions don't sound very appealing. Can you tell me what those brown things are off to the side on each plate? Not the bread since I can see the roll.

Still, in certain situations, no matter your skills in this regard, we are all helpless. One such situation is air travel. We are all gassy on a plane.

Has anyone had the chicken and roasted vegetables?

Has anyone tried the chicken and roasted vegetables? Its available for preorder in economy on an upcoming flight from Cancun to Seattle. Description says diced chicken breast in a spiced tomato sauce served with roasted vegetables and Mexican rice. Theres no photo. Im not sure if its something new, but I cant find any other information on it.

I'm considering the brisket for an upcoming flight. Was it a good choice for you?

Brisket Breakfast Hash
Smoked beef brisket served with potato hash, fried egg, onions, peppers, red pepper romesco sauce, and crispy jalapeo chips.

We both had the chicken enchiladas yesterday (MSY/PDX) and they were not very good at all...there was NO green sauce, almost no cheese, and while an enchilada is usually a soft tortilla, ours were so dry/stale/crisp but not in a good way to be almost inedible. The FA said she took a picture to send to whoever to complain. I ended up dumping my hummus on top of them to give them some moisture. The chicken itself was cooked well but in a big slab, not diced like you would expect to find.

I had the Southwest Chicken Salad on the 10a LAS-SEA this morning. Just a PSA if you are not a fan of spicy food - the fried jalapeno bits on my salad packed quite the punch of heat. The hottest thing I've eaten on a plane in recent memory.

Eggs and potatoes are good, especially with Cholula
The bacon (Canadian bacon, really), is greasy and grotesque.
