Strange.
We're booked in May and asked LP phone line about experience in vestibule. They did email the menu (includes coquillettes thankfully, and baba), and wine list. And they said we would be offered a voucher for Sisley facial in Paris.
Can't upload PDF of menu and wine list unfortunately, but can share via DM.

New LP for ATL?
[QUOTE=San Gottardo;37466919]Of course this isn’t true for all US final destinations, but for many. Here is why:
1) Much much more connectivity through ATL.
3) I prefer having more time on board the Air France plane and then a shorter time on the domestic DL plane. First because it’s more pleasant, and second because it gives me longer sleeping time on the way back
Does anyone know if the ATL flights wil have the new LP or the older version? Wife and I are flying through ATL to CDG in mid-April. Was happy to see ATL as an LP city because JFK can be harder to get to from the southwest / southeast and Midwest. Plus, as San Gottardo said, more time in LP, less time on a regional get or single aisle plane. Particularly on the way to CDG to get more sleep.
I think there are 2 flights daily to ATL from CDG. Great news.

.AF has always had 2x/daily year around to ATL (AF30 and 32), in the peak summer season there is a third late flight (AF34), not everyday and this last one often gets cancelled though.

Read the sticky/first post of this thread and compare with the the seat map on your réservation. Last minute substitutions occur. Either type is an excellent product. I've been reading the thread on LH Allegris F and the non-functioning lights.....

I thought JFK was supposed to be a priority new LP market, yet EF is only showing 1 of 4 JFK flights next Friday (3/13) with new LP.
AF 2/1, AF 4/3 and AF 8/7 are all old LP. Only AF 6/5 is scheduled to be new LP.

You'd think that would be the case, but it's all over the place. For example, over the next couple weeks, some days have 3 flights out of 4 with the new LP, some days 2, some 1 and some zero... It seems like it's driven by operational considerations and not service/marketing considerations. I think I mentioned it elsewhere, but my sense is that NY LP pax are primarily driven by schedule considerations etc. (as opposed to new or old LP) and AF probably knows it so it doesn't really care about prioritizing new LP one way or another to JFK.

I suspect that if one views P as a bucket list item, one is going to be really interested in flying the new product. Those who fly P more than a couple of times a year are generally  about new vs old P.
(The former group is also probably over-represented in the "how do I get Platinum so I can use miles for P" crowd).
Same thing happened with the new J.

Hello, I wanted to give some feedback on the new La Premičre cabin that I tried for the first time on a Paris–Haneda flight last week. For context, I fly a lot, but about 95% of my flights are in business class. I had already flown Air France La Premičre two or three times before. To be completely transparent, I have never really been a fan of the price–quality ratio of La Premičre compared to business class. I assume that if someone is extremely wealthy the question doesn’t really arise, but I have always struggled to justify to myself the choice of traveling in first class instead of business given the price difference.
Overall, everything went quite well, but despite that I don’t think I will repeat the experience. My feedback is the following:
Overall, everything went quite well, but despite that I don’t think I will repeat the experience. My feedback is the following:
- I don’t really understand all the communication around this new cabin and the choice to redesign everything to create something that is certainly better, but I didn’t get the “wow” feeling I was expecting. Of course it’s better, of course it’s bigger, but I didn’t experience the incredible renewal that was sometimes suggested in Air France’s communication.
- The absence of overhead storage above the seat is, at best, very strange. I travel very light, and even so I found the space available to store luggage absolutely ridiculous. I can’t imagine what it must be like for some passengers who travel with several handbags or who have done a lot of shopping at the airport before boarding.
- My tablet was CATASTROPHIC. I honestly don’t know if it was bugged. It was slow—so slow that I gave up using it after a while. It really felt like using a computer from 20 years ago when I was trying to display the list of movies. Its default position is also very poorly designed when you’re seated, as it forces you to twist your neck to use it.
- The curtain between my seat and my neighbor’s didn’t work from the start. Apparently that’s quite common. Three crew members tried to fix it using the “backup system,” then eventually gave up and pulled the curtain manually and closed it as best they could. It felt very cheap.
- I struggle a bit with the idea of one flight attendant for four passengers. The flight departed at 10 p.m., and we had strong turbulence at the beginning so everyone had to remain seated for quite a while. As a result, the time needed to serve four meals and prepare four beds meant that the waiting times were honestly long—very long at times. It might be worth considering some additional help at least during the peak meal service.

I don't think any of us should feel bad for pointing out the flaws of the P experience just because we're privileged enough to fly it in the first place (and besides, most people on this forum are not the kind of person to book P without thinking twice because the cost is immaterial). AF P is positioned and priced as the very best global aviation has to offer other than flying private, and it's important to call them out in areas where this promise is simply not delivered on. Of course a mediocre P experience is still better than the best J experience, I don't think anyone says otherwise, but that's beside the point.
