How long does it take to get the 4% bonus points from using the Hyatt credit card?

I assume you mean the 4 Hyatt points you receive per dollar spent on Hyatt stays paid using the Hyatt CC, in which case my experience is that points typically post the day of your CC statement closing date.

Yes, that's what I mean. Thanks!

On your statement closing date or a day or two after.

I've picked the 2K bonus for staying at Hyatt Place, etc. since making Globalist as 20/30 nights awards. I don't see it under awards and I'm assuming Hyatt is keeping tab of how many I have somehow. I haven't really stay at any Hyatt property that would trigger this 2K bonus, but I'm assuming it has an expiration date? If yes for how long? One year?

I believe it is a 6 month expiration. I used my 2K bonus at 20 stays very quickly. I'm coming up on 30 stays and am not sure if I have a Hyatt Place/Hyatt House stay within 6 months. I might hold off on making my 30 stay choice. We have 3 months to make that choice.

If I add a second guest to my booking, will that stay count towards the second guest's Brand Explorer tracker? Thanks.

Nope. Only 1 WoH account can be associated with the room. Perhaps you can remove 1 night from the current stay and have the second guest book a 1 night reservation for the brand explorer tracker?

Thanks for that Trouvaille
I need the EQN for the status challenge and at the same time, don't want to miss out on the Brand Explorer 'stamps'. Something's gotta give I suppose.

I have a large number of stays/nights coming up in a Hyatt Regency (specifically, 3-4 stays of 5 nights each). I had to create a new Hyatt account, because my previous account was so old their system did not recognize me (it had been at least 10 years since my last Hyatt stay). I have a few questions about maximizing my ability to earn points and status:
  • Does Hyatt status match? I am Hilton Gold. My online searching suggests that matches are rare, but I figured it did not hurt to ask this community.
  • My Chase card has an offer for $100 if I spend $600. Do stays/nights booked through Chase Travel earn Hyatt status? Will nights booked through Chase Travel not count for the promotions (5K bonus per 5-night stay, and 3K bonus per 3 nights)?
  • Are there other options or suggestions? I do not have time to get a Hyatt-branded credit card.
Thanks!

1) Hyatt has a corporate status challenge (Stay 10 nights for Explorist, Stay 20 nights for Globalist in a 90 day period). They also typically have the same challenge for AA status holders. Plat pro & ExP for Globalist, Gold & Platinum for Explorist. Same requirements as Corp.
2) Bookings thru OTA do not count for those offers. They would qualify for incidental spend. Amex FHR and Chases Edit are qualifying though. General Amex Travel and Chase travel do not.
3) There are some current Hyatt promotions earning bonus points. Ensure you are enrolled in them. You can see eligible promotions in the app by going to your account & Offers for you.

is there a way for me to check if a hotel room would be available to book with a cat 1-4 free night award? as an example the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress Resort in Orlando has a 18,000 standard room available on 4/10 - 4/11... can I assume that if I could book a room with points that it would also be possible to book with a free night award?

I asked them a few months ago whether they would consider a status match or challenge based on my Bonvoy Ambassador status (lots of actual nights and revenue in hotels, not some credit card stuff). No dice.

Hyatt doesnt have a match thing, but mostly you can have a challenge.
