This doesn't quite compare to the Alpha bank cards though, where I believe that the most expensive card (80 euro per year) gives you 5 miles per Euro spent. With Revolut you need a rather expensive card (50+ per month) to get 1 mile per euro spent.
However, in any case, additional earning opportunities are always welcome.

As non-star hub based, this is by far still the most interesting star alliance offer for me because of this change.
Especially also given the moves they appear to be making.
If only they would offer lifetime star gold, that would be perfection.
Also, agree that the earnings ratio is not as great as many other cards out there but - at least for most of Europe - it's still highly competitve.
Ratio tends to be better then AMEX + its debit + the mulitpliers (x2 Skyscanner atm, so x3 points for purchase only and then also the miles through the airline programme).
Also things like Uniqlo being x10, Nike x20, Uber x10, UberEats/grubhub, hotels etc.
My main worry is consistency in such offerings from Revolut, as these shops refresh every week. But given the announcement from Aegean, I hope that this will indicate a durable and long lasting partnership.

It depends on who/what you're spending that on.
They have dozens of partners, where it's 2.5 miles per and a handful of major partners, where it actually is 5 miles per .
Revolut's "change-to-points" system leads to a purchase price of 0,02 per 1 mile, which is marginally better than Aegean's own standard rate.
There's also a -25% less miles promotion right now for award tickets within A3/OA, which may sweeten the earning rate a bit.

I've used Revolut for years, but never bothered even looking at their loyalty programme. So, all very good except, after spending some time trying to find Aegean as a partner in my Revolut app I find they're not a valid partner for accounts based in Greece! How can that be?

Something else worth noting, in the UK, you can buy 15,000 RevPoints (convertible to Miles+Bonus 15000 miles) each month for GBP204.
This compares to buying 15,000 directly from Aegean = 375 Euros (GBP327).
Also, allows you to buy more than the max of 50,000 miles directly from Aegean.

Huh. Funnily enough I was considering of closing my Revolut account today since I need to do that anyway having moved from the UK. And Revolut requires me to close my account and reopen it if I've moved countries, and I wasn't intending on reopening it.
Guess this is enough impetus to reopen it... A3 miles aren't easy to earn outside of Greece and Cyprus and/or being on planes.
