There's a restaurant right around the corner from me that's on resy and sells gift cards online... I think I'll have to give it a test.

I was a little skeptical of this refresh and if I was going to keep the card, but if that works, and the addition of Youtube to the digital entertainment credit.. i think I'm back on board

US restaurants only.
  • Get up to $100 in statement credits each quarter when you use the Platinum Card® to make eligible purchases with Resy, including dining purchases at over 10,000 U.S. Resy restaurants.
  • Eligible Resy purchases include purchases made directly from U.S. restaurants that offer reservations on Resy.com and the Resy app and accept American Express® Cards, purchases made directly on Resy.com or in the Resy app, and purchases made via Resy Pay. Restaurants must be live on Resy.com or the Resy app at time of purchase to be eligible for the statement credit and are subject to change at any time.

Find a restaurant on the Resy site at a destination you plan to visit, then go to the restaurant's website and purchase a gift card, be an e-gift card (processed by Toast). I’ve been doing this with both my Amex Gold and the monthly $20 Resy credit from the Delta Reserve so I'm sure this new credit will work the same way. Heck, send an egiftcard to your loved ones unless everyone is in the countryside then send it to one of your fellow flyers.

Resy credit for Q3 (if by end of Sept)?

Do we get the $100 for Q3 2025 if we use it before end of September? and then another $100 for Q4 2025?

Hi All.
Does the credit work with all restaurants on Resy?
Do I have to make reservation on Resy for the credit to work? Can I just walk in to a Resy listed restaurant and pay with my Plat card?
I notice that some restaurants offer take out, does the credit work with take out?
Thanks.

Curious if one could use Resy today on Gold, and then upgrade the Gold to Platinum tomorrow and have Resy hit for Gold.

I used my Gold credits earlier this month, got credited, and then upgraded to Platinum on September 15.

I would suggest trying to use the Gold credits, waiting a couple days and then upgrading.

Also, leave your Gold card added to your Uber account, wait for the upgraded Platinum to arrive, and add it again.

You should get a 2nd Uber credit for $15 and may get a double credit next month too. Good Luck.

Yes.
No reservation required, you can just walk in any pay your bill with your enrolled Plat.
Yes, it should also work with takeout, assuming you pay the same as if you had purchased a meal. Online orders through the restaurant's toasttab site for pickup should also work.

This credit should be much easier to use than Chase Sapphire Reserve credit. I just checked Resy app, and there are so many restaurants on Resy while there is none of the Chase Sapphire Reserve eligible restaurants around my area (Queens, NY).

Does Restaurants whose gift cards are processed by Square qualify?

Restaurant near to me shows that they sell GC online and process it through Square. Do they qualify for resy credit?
