Anyone with a points reservation here should be checking it daily. The rate is bobbing all over the place at least for a mid-Sept reservation I'm considering.

First it started at 55K pts/night. Then ...

Aug 4 - 44K pts/night
Aug 6 - 55K pts/night
Aug 7 - 44K pts/night
later on Aug 7 - 55K pts/night
Aug 11 - 46.4K pts/night

The other properties in SG aren't dancing all over the place like this one.

Under 50K for this hotel is a great rate. I'm staying there soon myself, on a points reservation I did many months ago (before this year's devaluation). I have been monitoring but unfortunately I have a multi-day booking and it's like squeezing a balloon... as one day goes down, another goes up. I did manage to get back a few points a month or two back and "rebook" but nothing recently.

If I'm booking anything less than 5 nights, I always book each night individually for this very reason. I've never had to change rooms.

There's PointSavers rates available at various properties. I've booked 5 nights at Duxton Reserve for 158000 points, myself. And, I've seen Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza for 173600 points for 5 nights on PointBreaks.

Always good to save some money so you can spend it on the Chili Crab instead

I can confirm... current situation is one elevator is completely out of action as it is being upgraded (the first one of the four). Of the remaining three one is currently broken, has been for several days, maintenance team is working to get it back into service. So... two elevators serving 30 floors, as you can imagine this is no fun especially at peak hours. Yesterday they had staff in the lobby directing people to the employee/freight elevators to help during peak demand.

In all other respects the hotel is operating as normal to usual standards.

Stayed here end of July for 3 nights, elevators are slow to arrive but no issues otherwise really.

Now how the WC is situated in the room with a weird angle was another issue entirely.

I stayed this past weekend and unfortunately the elevator is still broken. Thankfully the hotel didnt seem to be at a particularly high occupancy, so having only two elevators wasnt a complete disaster, but wait times were up to 5 min (but usually not as long). As you can imagine, the cabs were often stuffed like a Tokyo subway during rush hour.

I was very satisfied with the offerings in the lounge, and really enjoyed the space being that it looks onto the pool deck.

NUAs cleared to an Executive Suite.

Staying here for 3 nights in March.

Does Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel offer complimentary breakfast?
Complimentary breakfast is not currently served at Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel. View on-site and nearby dining options on our dining page.
So no free breakfast for Platinum and higher?

That is in reference to the property as a whole. Eligible elites have access to the lounge for breakfast.

As a Titanium I've always been offered breakfast in either the lounge or the main lobby restaurant. I assume Platinum's will be offered the same. We always went to the main restaurant as the selection is much better. This is one area where Tang Plaza is better than the JW... which only allow elite members to breakfast in the lounge (which I've always found to be good enough anyway).

Edited: to add that there are reports in the JW thread that restaurant breakfast is now being offered there as well.

Elevator Refurbishment

Has anyone stayed here recently and can report on how they are getting on with replacing their guest elevators? Do they have new ones in operation yet? Are they faster than the old ones?

Thanks.

Stayed in mid October 2025. They were still working on the replacements. Complained in my post stay survey that no info was provided either on the website or in the welcoming e-mail about the replacement and they replied with a "we're sorry" e-mail.
