Curious if anyone has had success with JX interlining baggage to a separate BR ticket that has a CX leg? Flying LAX-TPE on JX and then TPE-HKG-XIY on a separate BR ticket, but HKG-XIY is on CX. I chatted with Starlux CS online and they said "We do have a partnership with EVA Air, so we can tag your bag from LAX-TPE-HKG, and EVA Air also has a partnership with CX so they can bring your bag to HKG-XIY. Technically your luggage can be tagged all the way from LAX-TPE-HKG-XIY. But it will depend if our airport team can add the itinerary in your record."

It all depends on the check-in agent at LAX. The more complex the separate itinerary is the less likely the agent is to go the extra mile for you and tag it to final destination (as the agent will have to do more work on her PC as when it is just simple 1 leg add-on). But absolutely zero experience with JX at LAX.

Dl sea to tpe. Separate ticket Philippines air tpe mnl with checked bag

So I am on route now. Jfk sea tpe. I checked online and Internet said that DL had interline agreement. I mean I read it on the Internet so it must be true right? No luck checking bags through.
Arrive terminal 2 and gotta go to terminal 1.
I assume there is an air train landside in addition to air side?
Anyone have luck at transit counter for the new airline showing them bag tag and getting them to take control of the bag to avoid having to edit through immigration? I have 2 hours and apec card so hopefully I'm good either way. I'll report back tomorrow.

Having an interline agreement does not mean they will transfer the bag when the reservations are separate.

Unless something changed, the little train that goes between T1 and T2 has an interesting setup. One car is on the air side and one car is on the land side.

It seems China Airlines (CI) is the Ground Service Agent for PR in Taipei. So, if you see a CI employee, you can ask them I doubt it. Even if they said they could, I personally would feel more comfortable doing it myself.

It seems time will be a little tight. Focus on making the check-in deadline at the PR counter in T1. Good luck.

Update: so I landed on time. First one in immigration line. Got bag in 15 minutes went upstairs and found the air train which was about 10 minutes walk.
Made it back to check in and through immigration and got to the lounge in about an hour 15 total for my 1 hour 50 minute layover

If I have separate booking of JX, the first one NRT-TPE will be landed on T1, then the next will be TPE-SGN depart from T2. Is it possible to request check through from NRT-SGN? I was curious, given that this will be on different terminal

JX can thru check your bags for JX+JX, but if you misconnect due to delays it's still your problem not theirs.

How about lounge access policy if in Business class, given it will be overnight transit, can I access the T2 lounge that still open? Im thinking of take a look on T2 lounge upon my arrival, I knew that it will be closed around 23:00, that's okay.

Lounge access is based on your departure flight. You can access either lounges.
