[Targeted] 1.5-5X Aeroplan points on new cash bookings between 5 - 9 January, 2025
YMMV, the promotion ranges from 1.5X to 5X, I have got the 3X.
Not as exciting as the 2X SQX but 3X Aeroplan points is slightly more than the usual 2X promo.
On the fence about it, running purely for points is mostly pointless, you're better off just buying them outright during a good sale. However, after burning 450k on my trip to Asia later this year, it doesn't hurt replenishing my war chest while I am running for SQX.

Targeted email for me says 5X points.
I looked into cancelling/rebooking a couple of already-planned trips, but the ticket costs are now higher than originally, and it works out to about $0.03/extra-point in my case. Not bothering on those. But I may consider booking (refundable) fares for later in the year.

Another datapoint: this SEMM gets 1.5x points. Not worth getting out of bed for IMO. I do have a small trip I need to book for next week, but flights prior to Jan 20th don't count.

I'm 50K and received the 3X email. I was planning to book an upcoming trip anyway, so I might as well get 3X points for it. Question about eligibility, hoping someone can help decipher.
T&C's say:
Valid only on new bookings of Eligible Scheduled Flights† from Canada to any worldwide destination within the Air Canada network.
Eligible Scheduled Flight† means a flight operated by Air Canadawithin Canada or between Canada and any destination worldwide within the Air Canada network. It does not include codeshare and interline flights.
If I planned to book Halifax to Bucharest via Munich, with the Munich to Bucharest leg on Lufthansa, do you think I would get 3X points for at least the AC portion of the route or would this be ineligible because a codeshare flight is included? Hoping someone has some experience with a prior similar offer.
