Upon receiving the email receipt, the purchased points and diamond status (thru 2025) posted immediately to my account. I used the link that was sent to my email address for the purchase.

nope nothing so far
i bought around 1 pm PDT - looks like they had instant processing initially but then froze it shortly before updating the offer

Decided to check the email again and saw the $640, pulled trigger immediately this time. Status and points credited instantly.

It’s crazy how all over the place this is. Based on the quoted post, I also re-clicked from Monday’s email. Mine is now showing $800 for 120k points, whereas yesterday and earlier today it had been $960 for 120k. I’m on the fence.

Separate, but relatedly, are we 100% sure that buying Ambassador no longer automatically extends Diamond? If we are sure that doesn’t work anymore, I’m probably more likely to buy the points here.

Within the last two hours my offer dropped back down to $640 for 120,000 points. I Purchased (using my IHG MC) and an immediate update to both status and new point total.

I’m still at $1000 -20% =$800.00 for 120k points, sigh

Maybe there are different tiers of offers?

Same here. Do people with the $640 offer have two credit cards by any chance? Maybe the double discount is a result of the 20% off being awarded separately for each card?

I only have the IHG premier card. Another thing to note is that the $640 showed even before i clicked on the ihg cc as payment type.

Besides that, why pay $225 for nothing - which is what Ambassador is if you don't stay at ICs and/or manage to spend the free night - when you can buy 120,000 points for their $600 value, then less than $225 on top for Diamond status.

Presumably one would use the points if the plan is to actually use the Diamond status...

I got 115k points offer for $628 again and bought it. Points immediately posted and showing Diamond status.
