JA09WJ has completed two engine run and taxi checks at TLS (7th & 8th December). The first test flight (if following past trends) could happen within the next few days.

Right now JAL and Airbus are currently on track for having 8 A350Ks entering JAL's fleet before the end of the 2024 fiscal year. I hope that whatever is delaying JA07 will be finalised soon, so that it can also join the fleet. But, who wants to be a betting man on JA09 entering service before JA07?

Right now JAL and Airbus are currently on track for having 9 A350Ks entering JAL's fleet before the end of the 2024 fiscal year. I hope that whatever is delaying JA07 will be finalised soon, so that it can also join the fleet. But, who wants to be a betting man on JA09 entering service before JA07?
Considering that JAL has been had it in their slides for investor day that they are getting 8 in FY24, I doubt very much they plan to shift the capex now. Since the aircraft was re-registered from F-WZFT to JA07WJ, JAL has now taken ownership of 8 aircraft.

I'll be a betting man and say F-WZFS will not become JA09WJ before April.

We have movement from JA07 within the past 30 minutes....

https://aviation.flights/aib/A350/679

CHR - CHR?... Noted as Sixth Flight (Not a Customer Acceptance Flight) and still registered as F-WZFT (Not sure if that is an error on AF's part)
I'm hoping that whatever has caused the delay (if it's Safran) has been resolved and that this flight was to blow off the cobwebs on the plane.

And its right near F-WZHK which is also airborne on a test flight.

It was close to 60 days since it flew to CHR, so whether it was fixed or not, they probably needed to dust the cobwebs of it. Interesting that it flew under the French registration. I give up on guessing who actually owns it.....

It changed! LHR-HND for mid January. This finally puts and end to this saga after many months of worrying if I'd get the A350-1000. So happy. Just gotta hope that there aren't any last minute changes but I'm sure I'll get it at least once on the way there or back. Phew.

Meanwhile, our IB-ticketed booking with JL44, also in mid Jan is still showing as 77W on both IB and JLs portal. The suspense continues

19th. Its probably just a caching or data staleness issue - just realised that JALs website has updated JL44 that day as 351.
