UA to use old ORD T2 DL Skyclub -- United Club Fly or regular UC??
Purely unsubstantiated: I read it on Facebook in one of the UA 1K and/or GS private groups…
They posted, with no source, that UA is in discussion with ORD Airport Authority to acquire a lease on the former DL Skyclub space, expanding the size of the F Club.
Take it for what it’s worth, but sounds awesome if true. I just want a Coke Freestyle machine in there so I can get me some iced tea! Why is that the only club at ORD without one?!?!?!

I forget the sequencing on the OGT project (i.e., when the E/F gates will be torn down), but I'm glad to see that a club expansion is worth it even just for a few years of use.

Confirmed with multiple people that the expansion into the old sky club is definitely happening, forgot the timeline (will confirm tomorrow), but think it was supposed to be quick.......like end of September quick.

Grab and go club would make sense. I appreciate that club at Denver when I'm in a rush.

I always figured they were on top of each other, but maybe there is some horizontal space between them to where they don't touch... and even if they do, busting out the floor to connect them is probably more work than they want to do for the short time left in that terminal's life. I'm just glad something is happening to make the F club situation better.

At concourse level they definitely aren't side by side as there is a ton of administrative/office space (including Agent on Demand workstations) between them... As I think more about it I think all of UAs BOH (kitchen, storage, etc) for the current club is on the E end of the club... Perhaps BOH can be shared between two clubs but especially for a potentially sub-10 year investment reconfiguring that may not make sense relative to just reskinning the DL club and operating it as a second key (either full club or some variation on grab&go) despite higher staffing costs (agents, bartenders, etc... unless they make it all self serve and send you to the "real" club for help and alcohol

I imagined them (havig never been on the Delta side) as being on the same level above ground.

My early Sunday evening visit to the Terminal 2, Concourses E & F ("Gate F8") United Club near the beginning of July was very crowded.
I flew out of the E Gates, which are not numbered in strict numerical order, but only within the odd or even sides of the concourse, which can be confusing to a newcomer.

From back in the days when didn't need same-day-boarding-pass and either the old small F club was full or months the F club was closed for renovations, I used my Delta Skyclub membership to go into this club while waiting for my UA flight. It is a small space, rectangular long and skinny. Wasn't there some rumor these two F & E club entrances would access a shared 2nd/upper level space?

Yesterday I passed this sign for a new United Club around E7

In the existing T2 lounge, the agent said it would likely be opening next month as a club fly concept, provisional on county permits. Has anyone heard more?
Thanks!
