Transfer desk at KUL still there?
I'm looking at flying through KUL on separate tickets in the next few days.
However, I can't tell if the transfer desk is still available airside within the KLIA satellite building; there appears to be no information about it on the airport website, and the passenger guide suggests:
Does anyone know if it is still there? I'm considering whether to purchase a MH or a Silkair ticket, so nothing fancy.
Do share if you know... I'd prefer not having to clear immigration at 12 midnight. Cheers!

Connecting flight WITHOUT boarding pass:
proceed to your airline check-in counter before departure.
It looks like there is a prayer room symbol in its place on the map?proceed to your airline check-in counter before departure.

Sorry to resurrect this. I've got a short turn NRT-KUL-NRT, and would like to stay in the terminal overnight, without going out through immigration.
Could someone confirm that there is still a transfer desk? Or - are there any other options to check in on the next (returning) ANA flight without getting out of the terminal? Can I check in at the gate?

Yes. Not sure what time it's manned for your NH flight but I'd say T-120 mins is a safe bet.
Yes.
You can always print your own OLCI boarding pass for the peace of mind.

[EDIT] It appears the below is a list all airlines and their on-the-ground contractors, regardless of whether the contractor mans the transit desk for the specific airlines flights. Not sure I understand why we need to know at the transit desk that e.h. POS Aviation supports SQ if they dont support at the desk itself, but there you go [/EDIT]
Random update, but in case anyone is looking for transit desk options at KLIA, these were the airlines / providers listed about 12 months ago (at the Satellite transfer desk):

KUL Airside Transfer Between T1 and T2 Possible?
Seeing that AK assistance is indeed at the Satelite transfer desk, I could get my boarding pass and drop off a bag here? I previously read about an airside transfer to/from T1 and T2 at KUL, but I have not seen this news recently. Is this true?

Unfortunately, I am not really sure how the transfer desk works for AirAsia. I was actually surprised to see them listed!
For all airlines except MH, it seems some staff show up a few hours before the flights departure. I have seen signs noting the flights they are supporting when they are sitting there, but personally have not used the desk recently

Just a data point on non-MH airlines and the transfer desk:
I had a self-transit to an SQ flight, so went to the transit desk at T-3h, but no SQ-designated staff were there.
I tried again at T-1.5h, but again no one was there. I asked someone who was sitting there for another airlines flight from SQs contractor POS Aviation (sign said PR, I think?) , but they could not help.
I finally went to the gate, and started the security line - only opens T-1, so I was at the front - to go to the gate agents immediately when security opened. However, an agent was standing just inside security, so I got their attention and they were very helpful to check me in before T-1h.
So it appears that each airline chooses whether the check-in contractors man the transit desk for each of that airlines flights.
Below might be misremembered, but I think I have seen the following airlines open at the desk / standees in the back (Ill take photos of these next time):
I unfortunately did not see any signage for AK at the Satellite transit desk, seems they are not asking for the contractor to sit at the transit desk.
I am also not sure the proposed airside T1-KLIA2 transfer has been launched (no announcements / signage), which would mean travellers must go through immigration at T1, then transfer landside to KLIA2, where they can then check in.

No worries, thank you for sharing again! If I am ahead of schedule during my transfer from KLIA1 to KLIA2, I will try to inquire about AirAsia at KLIA1 transfer desks, based on your signage photo. Asking would never hurt, and this can be a good data point for the community
