UK Phone Line Disconnected?
Has Carsten not paid the bill?

This is the phone number have saved in my phone, thought it had changed, alas not, still there when logged in?
On dialling it says "The number you have dialled is not in service at this time. Goodbye".

Another example of professional service at MNL HON line I wanted to make a reservation on Lufthansa app for a simple return flight. The payment would not be finalized despite two attempts and two different cards. However, in the app, two PNRs have been created. So, I thought: OK, I would call HON line to finalize the payment.
First agent
Agent: you need to pay online.
me: It does not work. Can I please pay over the phone?
Agent: Yes, but I need to charge you 45 EUR for offline booking. Or if you pay online, it will be free.
Me: it doesnt work online. Can you please waive the fee?
Agent: No. The system doesnt have this option. I cannot remove it from the payment page.
me: In past it was possible.
agent: now rules have changed.
Me: OK, bye.
Second agent
Agent: you need to cancel this booking and make a new one
Me: I cannot cancel it online. Could you please cancel it.
Agent: No, I cannot cancel YOUR booking (emphasis on YOUR)
me: Can you please make the same booking and I will just let expire this unticketed booking
Agent: No, you cannot have two tickets for the same routing.
Me: I wont have two tickets, as the first PNR wont be ticketed.
Agent: It does not matter. PNR is PNR
Me: bye
Waiting for LX HON line to open and will book with them, as I cannot get through German HON line for some reason.
I wonder why LH bothers having this team in MLN. They are utterly useless.

If you have issues with the app/website and want to get an agent to waive the phone fee, call the internet service line during German business hours

does LH have a number in the US for German-speaking customer who can't speak English?
I guess I have always assumed that almost all Germans can speak English, at least some English... but I learned today that it wasn't the case.
While having breakfast in my hotel this morning, a couple sitting next to me were talking to each other in German. The lady was calling someone and got nowhere with her very broken English. Her husband took the phone from her and spoke in equally broken English. They hung up and started to look up something on their phone again. They called and the same thing happened again, so they hung up.
Not sure where I got the courage to use my almost forgotten German to ask them what the problem was. My German was even more broken than their broken English. After a couple of minutes, with the help of Google Translate, I figured out that they were trying to call Lufthansa. The number was 800 645 3880. They apparently were unable to get to a German-speaking agent. I told them that they should have just called Lufthansa's number in Germany. They did and was connected to someone who spoke German.(well, it's Lufthansa's number in Germany!)
It got me wondering.... why was their English so bad? they looked very educated and very upper middle-class. I later found out that the husband was a bank teller or something like that and they were on vacation here.
does LH have a number in the US for German-speaking customer who can't speak English? out of curiosity, I dialed their regular 800 number and the menu didn't have an option for someone to press a number to reach a German-speaking agent?

Not that I'm aware of.
If they're Germans, unless they are Vodafone or 1&1/Drillisch customers, they could just connect their smartphone to a WiFi, enable WiFi-Calling and call the german number while only getting charged as if they were in Germany.

many foreign airlines operating in the US have options to speak with agents in their foreign language.... even British Airways has English-speaking agents at their US reservation phone line....

The US/CA call center should have been able to connect them with a German speaking agent, but yeah, the need for a German speaking phone agent in the US will be very very limited
