On Google Flights, does an icon of a seat with a slash through it mean it is a basic economy fare?

Thank you. I checked ORD-MSP, then saw ORD-MKE was more, and decided to ask here on FT.
Thank you. I did know to buy regular economy, but that was about the limit of my knowledge. And I appreciate the reminder.

What is "non-BE"?
I am trying to use Google flights to find a flight for just over $50. Using Google flights explore, I can seem to search without a "Where From" location. Am I searching properly if my only criteria is price and United as the carrier?
thanks

unitedwildcat offered a $56 fare. That seems close enough that additional effort is not warranted, but that's my opinion.

Correct, BE I meant Basic Economy. Google Flights will generally show you Basic Economy fares but you get the hang of about how much more standard economy fares are pretty easily and look for those. If my target price was $125 then I was looking for GF fares around $100 or slightly under. It's not a 100% guarantee, but it's fairly close in a lot of markets. My $205 fare was slightly more challenging but didn't take me more than 10 mins of trial and error to find one.

There are only 7 hubs, try a couple hubs unless you are trying to get the absolutely lowest value (and remember it just becomes a credit for you and not lost money), how much effort is it to get $5-$10 less deferred credit?

Your best bet is to book a United flight that is just slightly over the amount of your Travel Bank flights, then wait more than 24 hours, then cancel the flight to receive future flight credit. Future flight credits can be used on United and non-United flights and also used for things like seat upgrades. FAQ is here: https://www.united.com/en/us/fly/travel/credit.html Biggest downside is that they expire 12 months from when the original flight was booked.
What happens if the flight cost is just under the United travel bank amount? Will I eligible to get FTC as long as it's a refundable ticket?
If the flight that used Travelbank funds + remaining in cash gets cancelled by the airline, does the whole amount go into FTC or just the Travelbank funds become FTC and the remaining goes back to original form of payment?
With the expiry date being 7/15, is 7/14 or 7/15 the last day for me to book using Travelbank funds?

Sorry, my mistake. I should have said booked by that hour, Central Daylight Time, and have revised my post accordingly.

I was kinda torn on whether to drop this here or in the Chase IHG card forum, but I figured since its about Travel Bank credit in general, it might fit in better here. Right now is a pretty sweet time to extend your Travel Bank credit. Here's the cool part - you can actually combine the two $25 Travel Bank credits issued by Chase IHG Premier in the first and second halves of the year.
If you want to use or indirectly extend the UA Travel Bank credits do these:
If you want to use or indirectly extend the UA Travel Bank credits do these:
- Use a mobile app to make the purchase, and don't add any extra items during the purchase process.
- Buy a ticket that is non-refundable and a non-basic economy, and don't forget to hook it up with United Airlines' frequent flyer program. Then, restrain yourself and wait until after 24 hours to cancel.
