I am on WL for 2 LX flights (Asia) on fullfare F... Departure in 3 weeks. Must be an enormous cash cow LX F at the moment.

The concept of the LX A333's getting a C/PE/Y cabin and keeping them in the fleet until decided to what other LH Group airline they go by removing F from routes absolutely makes no sense. Unless LH Management comes up again with a bad decision it looks like it's clear that at least the A343's of LX will be replaced with A350's. This would have been around 2025 and it would have made sense around 2027 to start replacing the A333's with the same type. Now we have almost end of 2022 and the A333's still did not get a new cabin, hence it might make sense not to invest into the plane, at least not for LX and make adjustments to the order book and send A350's to LX as of 2024 to replace the A333's and the A340's. No matter what will happen, fact is, the cabin of the A333's are at the end of their life cycle and it can't be that even the US airlines have better cabin products than LX.

New LX first, business due in 2025

A quick FYI: Swiss will adopt Lufthansa's 'Allegris' first and business class products in 2025, they'll debut on first deliveries of the A340 replacements coming from either Airbus or Boeing (that order reportedly not locked in as yet).

Their common product approach is indeed not new, but now we have a timeline for Swiss getting the Allegris products.

Remains to be seen if these are indeed good news or not. Looking forward to testing the cabins on LH in 2023.

Especially the Business seat leaves me hesitant to break out in joy, as I am as of yet unsure if they are an actual improvement to the current LX cabin.

I furthermore wonder what airplanes will be introduced as of 2025. Considering the common cabin approach I expect the same cabin layout on the A359s delivered to LH in 2023 to also be used on the A359s for LX.

Well, the decision which of the new A359 or B789 are headed towards LX would be more thrilling to know B787/777 common crews or A340/330 retraining to A359

Agreed, and we can probably look forward to an announcement on that front in the coming 12-18 months...

I still believe LX gets the A359 and the seating is similar to LH in FCL and CCL. The 789 will be going to AUA and LH with no FCL.

Biggest question for me is how many seats will be in F. 8, 4, 6 or 3…

3 would be crazy on all fronts.

4 would be a disaster for availability/pricing.

Unfortunately, knowing LHG, 4 seems to be much more likely than 3 or 6. Lets hope for 8

Given the current loads in paid F we might be lucky & get 8 seats..

According to aerotelegraph, LX CEO stated this week that there is a clear preference for the A350 and that the decision is still taken this year. Lets see and counting…

Swiss have said to HONs that different aircraft types will have different numbers of F seats, so I dont think theres a huge need to worry here.

Would be great, but against the current "trend" to get rid of the 4-holers and put in 4 rather than 8 or more F seats in the twins (SQ, AF etc.). But then again, LH went against the trend by buying 4-engined B748 ... One can always hope, but my money would be on 4 seats in the twins.
