Good question but no.

heres what i did with my $50 expiring credit last year. Had a week booked a LAX-LAS cheapie and kept changing it until 2 days before it expired.
Flight got cancelled, called and told them I cant make it anymore and wanted to change the date into the future. Changed it to a date that I could fly a few months later. Super had to come in and make it happen since the credit was going to expire but rules are rules, if there is a cancellation they have to re-accommodate you.

The rules are that they have to re-accommodate you or give you a refund, back to the form of purchase. You were lucky.

Unlike travel funds, which are only usable by the original passenger(s), vouchers can be used by anyone, but only for the airfare portion, not any taxes/fees.* The voucher will expire 6 months from the date of issue. Consider combining smaller funds prior to expiration if below the $100 threshold.

*There's a work-round for this, just use the voucher to purchase a flight and then cancel it, and you'll have new travel funds that can be used for the full booking, airfare plus taxes/fees. But be careful, as the new funds will only be usable by the named passenger.
Looks like I have close to $1,000 of expiring travel funds this June. So just so Im clear, if I combine into a single fund that expires 6/30/22, I can let it expire and then anytime between 7/1 -12/31/22 I can request a voucher for the expired fund (minus $100)? And if I request a voucher on 12/31/22 it will be good through 6/30/23?

That is correct, but.....

This is not a published benefit. It has always worked. It is certainly something that could be taken away at any time.

The new voucher would have a 6 month expiration, so the validity would necessarily be through 6/30/23 - it would be 6 months from the date of issue (looking at your 7/1 - 12/31 timeframe for requesting the voucher)

Thanks Victor! So just to confirm, I can wait six months after expiration of 6/30/22, meaning on 12/30/22 I could request the voucher, which would provide a new expiration of 6/30/23?

Is 12/30 within 7/1 - 12/31?
