I got one for a full Y booking today.

You know why I book full Y? So I don't have to decide until T-60.

They're definitely not going to cancel a confirmed booking without your consent, unless they have a valid reason to refuse transport. But those are all in the contract, and they'd be breaching that contract if they did it for an arbitrary reason.

You got one saying it would be cancelled unless you confirmed, or one saying it wouldn't?

Ooops...Your right, I just went back and re-read it. You are correct. I read through it too quick the first time and only saw the cancelled. My bad.

No one has received an email that it would be cancelled if not confirmed. "Confirming it" is having you actually think about whether you want to go.

Can you? I've seen flights that were over by ~10 and were selling Y9B9M9...

And flights that were completely zeroed out, even with 25+ available seats, because a different flight that day had been cancelled.

JohnYYC seems to have reported receiving exactly such an email.

I'd be more willing to bet that was a misread, but it's the only reason I'm asking about it.

On routes I know...usually I am in the general ballpark of what is going on.

There is no ESP in any of this but seeing how the loads move and shift, I can get an idea of whats going on.
