By the way, if you want more bang for your buck, Budapest is a cheap place to start (1733€, 3.95snt/point) and Malaga is the best (51404p) as far as I know, 1986€ making 3.86snt/point without taking silver/gold/plat bonus into account.
This is I fares (BUD/AGP-HEL-HKG-BKK-HKG-HEL-BUD/AGP)
Also, point run wise, AGP-HEL-HKG-SIN-HKG-HEL-AGP gives you a whopping 54918 points for 1930€ in I without ancient A330's.

Why would AGP origin give more points than BUD? AFAIK, AGP is one of the worst possible continental origins mileage-wise/time-wise - alongside LIS and MAD. Due to zoning, it earns less than 1 point per km.
Of course, Canaries and Dubai are way worse yet.

Even though KEF point accrual is terrible, it is at the same time available as an award flight from anywhere in Finland for just 15K points return :-)

I have booked ARN-HEL-LAX return trip starting with AY808 (dep 12:55) and was wondering if it would be smart to book the HEL-ARN leg on the AY807 (arr 12:20) or play it safe and book an earlier flight instead? Any risk of stand arrival and bus and would one be able to make it in that case? PS. Only carry-ons, no baggage.
