A359 and B789 to replace A340/B763/B772 by 2025
Although the remaining five A340 of SWISS are getting new interiors right now, they plan to replace them by 2025.
Options are either A350 or B787 and I assume they will be part of the upcoming bigger order of LH Group.

Was heit mittelfristig fr Sie?

LH Group is in the market for A343, B763 and B772 replacements since some time. With the delay in the B779 they can get some good discounts from B, but A is deparate to keep the A339 line open... like with the CS1/CS3 deal LX can benefit...

A359 will be a massive increase in seats vs an A343. After the shock of upgauging a number of routes from A343 to B773 I doubt LX will get such high seater...
During the 2014 announcement of B779 and A359 purchases, LH showed this image:

Which shows a clear gap between the A330 and A359 where the LX and OS longhaul fleet with 250-300 seats needs replacements. This gap is more the home of a B789 or A339.
If you look at United's recent investor presentation is becomes clearer:

My bet is on the A350-900.
The above shwon LH chart is not quite correct as it just shows the seats of the used seat layouts. You could squeze in over 300 pax into an A330/340 easily, but at the expense of First and Business class. All economy even 440 is possible. (same as A359).
I think Swiss could use the space of an A359, especially since they will be having First and a big Business class.
Furthermore out of a passenger point of view I prefer the A350 over the B787.

I don't see how that can be accurate. Swiss has First class on all its aircrafts and a bigger business class seat number than most aircrafts of the LH group (just one example).

When the new recaro business seat is introduced it will be fitted on all LH/OS/LX aircraft. Interiors will be aligned to make the fleet common and reduce complexity. What config you have today will not be around in a few years...

Same seat, yes, but will the also get the same distribution of Y/J/F? Probably not, right?

They sort of tried the same cabin interior different brands concept with BD/SN/LX/OS in 2009-11 and it's been rather successful. Having common galley/seat/WiFi etc cuts down dramatically on spares and working capital. Swiss has an unusually dense layout in their A343 because the cabin crew contract allows things that are a no go at Lufthansa.
