Cilantro is a vile scourge that should be eradicated from the face of the planet.

Oh, sorry, thought this was the Hall of Rants thread

They could probably get away with under-catering every short and mid-haul flight if they always offered this option.

Oh man, I though you were one of the good ones.

Cilantro is a wonderfully refreshing ingredient that when used properly can brighten up many different dishes.

It's fine.. But in YOGURT!

I'd of been fine with cilantro, but who the hell...

Yogurt.. In a wrap.

Delta Shuttle SFO-SEA
6PM E-175

Unfortunately no pictures, especially after the FA accidentally spilled OJ on my pants and my bag stored on the floor-it just kind of shot off the tray when he placed the tray down...

The main was a choice between some chicken salad (no full description, since they were out by the time I got to choose) and some Luvo veggie wrap. On the side were some veggie sticks and ranch-like dressing and the Luvo cookie (in addition to the side of OJ on my pants).

Hopefully they'll under-cater on our next DTW-MIA and/or vice versa trip I'm just glad those miles posted so quickly!

Lunch

PDB - yes of course ^ (Margarita for me)

Hot towels and linens laid down. The only weird part is that we were served our first drink in-flight right when our meal was plopped down which took a good amount of time given the coach carts getting set up, FC FA taking meal and drink orders, pouring soups etc.

Choices of an Italian Chicken sandwich or a trio plate of chicken salad, pasta salad and something else. I went with the sandwich and based on my seat partner's choice of the "trio" I chose correctly.

Wine was refilled afterwards so a pretty good DL flight.

The yogurt in a wrap part I 100% agree with.

Made the mistake of buying a Luvo wrap exactly once. Blech.

23 Nov 08:30 DL418 SFO-JFK (breakfast)

PDB: usual D1 TCON options
FEBO: yes

Shortly after takeoff the FA announced that we were a test flight and they would be serving a complimentary snack in the main cabin (not just C+), with the choices being some Luvo thing (I think she said wrap, but I wasn't paying close attention) or a ham and cheese croissant/sandwich type of deal. She stressed that not all JFK-SFO/LAX flights were test flights and therefore not to expect it every time

Won't post photos of the meal itself as they look pretty much as shown in post 490. I had the granola. They also came by about an hour out of JFK with warm chocolate chip cookies.

Random: I can't say that I remember the coffee cup coming on top of a saucer before.

Very interesting that they are testing main cabin snack service on a domestic route. I assume this is only being considered for transcon routes, but maybe they are thinking about rolling it out on domestic flights over 4 or 5 hours.

That's what it sounded like.

Other useless random observation: on my way off the plane they still had a paper tacked up with the A/B side's orders. 3 people chose crepes, one person skipped breakfast, and everyone else had the eggs.

Well, if LCCs like B6 are doing it, why should they get a free pass?
Also its perfect timing, a slap to the face of UA and AA -right after they brought basic ones back.

Nope it's only being considered for premium transcons JFK-LAX/SFO (long haul Hawaii already got meals in YC).

What routes are B6 serving meals in economy class?

I meant premium snacks. Like blue chips, dorritos, etc. vs just peanuts, pretzels, and cookies.
Though this indeed takes that to the next level and makes C+ even more useless.
