Need 14,000 AQM to get to 50K Altitude status for 2017 - Ethiopian Airlines?
I'm trying to rack up Altitude Qualifying Miles (AQM) to earn my 50K Air Canada Altitude status for 2017. According to AC's partner website, it looks I'll get 100% AQM minimum for any booking class on Ethiopian Airlines. As such, I'm tempted to fly Ethiopian Airlines for my yyz - NBO return flight this fall. It's cheaper than AC - and amounts to more AQM - because all AC itineraries to NBO include partners that offer lower mileage- 25% - 50%.
Is my understanding correct that partner mileage is credited as AQM mileage?
Thanks!

The mod will move your post because it doesn't belong in this thread, but since you're new, I'll be nice and respond here.
If operated by Ethiopian, click on this link.

As long as the booking class matches one of the booking classes in the chart, you'll get the associated % of AQM. (either 100% or 125%)
However, note for 2017, you also have to attain the necessary Altitude Qualifying Dollars to attain status.

To hit or maintain E50K you will need to hit $6K AQD. Unless the ticket is an AC issued ticket (starts with 014), your proposed flight won't count towards that. I found this out the hard way earlier this year when I booked a YYZ-HKG through EVA Air before knowing about the changes AC made this year.
