Interview was in the Ronald Reagan building in D.C. The building is huge so I would give yourself a few extra minutes. Luckily, the folks who run you through the metal detector can point you in the right direction. There was no one ahead of me when I arrived and I was out in less than 15 minutes. From the sounds of it, someone called asking about Walk-Ins while I was there and the agent said they take them but only if there is no one with an appointment waiting. I would be confident in your chances if you show up and are courteous to them.
Only hiccup was my Passport and now my GE using my middle initial while my (Maryland) license lists my middle name. Anyone ever run into this issue? Only seems like it would be an issue on domestics.

I seem to be following the same schedule as everyone else here recently.
Applied 5/27
Conditionally approved late on 6/16
2 days after I needed it, but better late than never. I didn't really need to worry abotu Cleveland/Cinci vs Port Clinton. The first two have no availability unti lJanuary! (I realize there are cancellations, but wow)

I have not used any of the scripts but if you do an internet search you will find some sources.
For example:
https://github.com/davidofwatkins/ge...lation-checker
And an associated reddit discussion thread:
https://www.reddit.com/r/churning/co...try_interview/
Unless you have the requisite technical background, I would be very careful with this.

Initially, after getting conditional approval on Monday of this week (6/13), I had scheduled my wife and I both for interviews on 7/22. We are leaving the country next Friday though and I really wanted to get this done before we leave. Using the script, on Tuesday and Wednesday, I was able to find two SFO slots that opened up via cancellations for this morning, less than two hours apart.
All in all, it worked very well for me and if you have the aptitude to make this work, I would recommend its use.

SFO interviews
I had an appointment scheduled for 4:45am this morning at SFO and my wife's appointment was scheduled for 6:30am. We left Sacramento at 2am and were at the Global Entry office at SFO before 4am.
There was one woman outside the office waiting for her 4am appointment. She was taken in a few minutes early and was in and out within 10 minutes at the most. After that, both my wife and I were taken in together (there were two agents working at that time) and we were out in less than 10 minutes as well. There was no one else around after we left.
While in the interview, I asked about these overnight appointments and was told that not many people show up to them and things have been very quiet during the overnight hours. They said that some people don't realize that the times are military times and are showing up at 2pm when their appointment is at 2am and are getting turned away.
I am posting this for anyone who may need or want to get an interview quicker at SFO. If you are willing to take a chance and show up in the middle of the night and the current no-show trend continues, you may have a good chance of getting your interview done at that time. You can always call the office ahead of time and see what they say as well.

noob here.
Up here in Seattle. Took 15-16 days to get pending approval. I'm scheduled for a face to face interview at SeaTac Intl. October 25th. When I can I refresh the schedule to try and get a closer date.

Well I just secured a June 30th appointment but the office is 2 hours away. Oh well I'll just leave work early and enjoy the drive. I have a trip out of the States in Sept. and will enjoy seeing if I can use it then.

If you do a search for "middle name" in this forum, there is a thread about it. In short, as long as your first and last name are 100% accurate, it won't be an issue. My GE card and CLEAR membership do not list a middle name at all, my passport has my full, hyphenated middle name, and my driver's license has my middle name with a space and not a hyphen (which caused significant issues with CLEAR until I corrected it). The GE officer had no issues with my application and (lack of) middle name.

Thanks all
I've been stupid not to apply earlier since I fly to Europe or the Middle East 8-12 times a year for the past 10 years. But it's a 4 hour trip to and from central Maine to Boston, so the idea of 8 hours of travel plus an interview put me off. But I gather from all of you the expected wait time for approval of the application is after 2 weeks and generally before 3-4 weeks. I'm traveling to Athens July 27, so we shall see. Fortunately, my schedule is free in the summer.

I agree that someone should have the requisite technical aptitude to run these scripts. I must say though that while I consider myself to be fairly technical, I am a complete noob when it comes to scripting. Even with that, after fussing around with it for 90 minutes, I was able to get this script to work just fine. I realize that not everyone wants to mess around with something for 90 minutes, and I completely understand that, but I was determined to make this work.

I would caution general users that they will likely be better off just constantly rechecking for cancellations manually than to attempt to use this kind of software with limited skills.
In any event I am glad it work out for you and am happy to be of help.

So a friend and I applied at the same time-- the evening of 5/27, she just got her conditional approval yesterday, and I'm still pending review. I have a squeaky clean record and am wondering if I'm going to be held up because I added my vehicle on to the application just in case we ever want to use it to travel to baja, etc. Anybody have experience on having an additional wait time when adding a vehicle? I know there aren't inspections anymore, I just wasn't thinking about it adding on extra time when I added it on.

States without GE
I think this is one of the issues why more people are not applying. Difficulty in getting to interview sites and/or difficulty in getting interviews. There are several states with out any sites and up until recently, I was 7 hours from an interview site. Currently 3.5-4 hours from a site that is open 2x a week in the mornings and booked up through the summer. Luckily I had a TA who had a one week event locally.
Thanks for your help!

Thank you so much, Starfish, for your response. I've been trying to convince myself for the past few years to apply but because of the 8 hour round trip from Maine (no sites for GE here) to Boston and my medical conditions, I just decided to skip it. I have been lucky with my last few incoming flights since I only have one carry on piece and have usually been seated toward the front of Delta flights (even as a Silver nobody, I will be in the preferred aisle seat right beyond the C+ seats since I cannot chance a middle seat). People have been very kind in business and first class in letting me scoot past them (since I get everything ready quickly) and Terminal E in Boston gives me about 15-20 more minutes than Terminal A. Still, if my flight gets in with many other international flights, it's a disaster.
Thanks for your help!

Applied the evening of 5/27 (around 4pm)
Conditionally approved today 6/16 at 850am
I live in Houston there is nothing at the library site, period.
IAH Terminal E with a boarding pass, early July and September without one.
Luckily I am flying to MSY on the 29th and doing it there, OMG they have tons of appointments!!!
Question I am flying to Madrid on the 4th do you think I will be able to use Global Entry by then?
