I love Mel and all scenes with her. I also don't care much about the engineering and aircraft aspect of the show. Mel Sabharwal is the real entertainment!
I'm only on episode 2 currently. I am sad that she disappears after 4.

In 2010 the BBC broadcast a comedy series entitled Come Fly with Me which was based in a fictional airport (Stansted is where the airport scenes were shot I believe). The programme was narrated in the style of a fly-on-the-wall documentary and featured a number of characters who bore an amazing resemblance to real life participants in the Airport series. My favourite character was the First Class stewardess who flew for the fictional international flag carrier Great British Air, I have yet to meet her match on EK, or BA for that matter :-)

There's also the series on BA. I think it's called "A Very British Airline". The series is quite good and can be found on YouTube.

I will be updating all episodes as they broadcast.
And yes, so far it has been a good season as well.
Cheers and enjoy

Season 2, Episode 7 is now up on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-mgg4VLFQZc
As with Episode 6, they seem to be veering heavily to the construction/mechanical aspects of the airport, leaving likely great human
interest stories on the table. But Mel was, indeed, back!
