Recommendations for Maldives resort?

Hi all,

I'm looking for a resort that is a short speedboat ride away from the international airport. Looking for a 2 bedroom villa with its own pool, preferably over the water. Budget is up to a £2000 a night. I have no preference as to when but I think high season is November to April so maybe low season is cheaper (December or May to catch the nice weather?)

Gili Lankanfushi Maldives looks great and they have a 4 nights for 3 deal but the Crusoe residence has only 1 bedroom and no pool. It's 20 mins by speedboat. USD 1472/night in October

Baros have a nice water pool villa but only 1 bedroom. It's 20 mins by speedboat. Good chocie of restaurants. USB 1,560.00/night in October.

Cocoa Island by COMO have Como villas which seem more suitable but its 40 mins by speedboat. They have a 4 nights for 3 deal plus 5% off. There is not much choice for restaurants however. USD 2,565.00/night in December or USD 2,062.50 / Night in October

You may be able to get a 2BR OW at Huaven Fushi in the low season for ~$2000 depending upon the promotion. Forty minutes speedboat xfer.

Per Aquuam Two Bedroom Ocean Pavilion with Pool is $3700/night which may be too much.

I don't know rates, but duplex villa with pool at OO RR could work.

While not ideal, two one bedroom overwater bungalows at FS KH could be an option. Some have pools.

Most two bedroom villas are "signature" accommodations and will be substantially more expensive than entry level villas. i.e. two adjoining/neighbouring villas could be less expensive than one larger two bedroom villa.

Thanks for the tips I also noticed some of the "signature" accommodations have a butler which would be nice, although not sure if it makes a difference at these high-end places?

If it is very good, butler service does make a big difference.

Soneva Fushi has two bedroom accommodation that would likely fit your budget.

Fully agree! ^
I had never understood the butler concept before experiencing a good one.

IMO, the best option would be the two bedroom overwaters at FS Landaa Giraavaru, but these will be more than GBP 2,000. These villas would meet the OP's requirements perfectly.

What did you use your butler for? We had one on Silversea, but didn't find much for them to do other than arrange for a snack upon return from our day out or bring our champagne to trivia

I've not been, but I thought I read that not every OWB is equal. Some are more private, some have better view of sunrise, some of sunset, etc...

In city hotels they can be quite useful especially when you plan a lot of activities.

Gili villas do have "pools". They are natural ones which I rather enjoyed.
