Talk about pulling teeth...
I'm amazed by the helpfulness and, frankly, the endless patience of the FTers still helping him. ^^ I'm not sure I could have maintained my composure quite so well, from about 7 pages ago!

You've deferred the trip back by a year JUST BECAUSE you can't get a business class seat. Sounds like this trip really IS optional.
You better use the next 11 months to go raise enough cash for a revenue ticket, that way you can GUARANTEE yourself a J seat, and no more fretting about waitlists, award issuing deadlines etc.

Do you think everyone on Flyertalk works for CX ticketing or something?
You have already subscribed to KVS and have the availability #'s.
Tip
#1 Try to book early (10-12 months out), or expect not to have confirmation until 1-2 weeks prior to your departure.
#2 Avoid peak holiday and dates where schools are just out / returning back to school.
#3 Avoid 251/255. Plan an extra day in your holiday schedule to allocate for traveling and waitlist for the afternoon flights instead.
#4 Check KVS from time to time.
Asking on here non-stop won't get you anywhere.

loads have happened overnight, i just took 1 of the 6 D class available for 251/29. got me intrigued to check if there's any award space.
