This has now been confirmed to be false and an incorrect denial by the IAD GFL staff per UA Insider - see http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/21700252-post535.html
Passengers must be holding a same day ticket for flights departing to/from a Trans Atlantic, Trans Pacific, Southern South America, Africa or a Middle East destination. Passengers connecting to/from other United/United Express flights will be admitted as long as the above requirements are met.
Global Services members can also use Global First Lounges when traveling in BusinessFirst or p.s. (JFK-LAX/SFO) BusinessFirst cabin.
A GS who arrives in BF or GF will be admitted to the GFL. A pax who arrives in GF (Global First - UA operated flight 3-class aircraft) will be admitted to the GFL. A GS or pax who arrives on other metal will not be admitted on that basis.

Spotted at the ORD GFL two weeks ago. I was on the NH flight in the morning. It appeared that United took the bottle back to the kitchen and place a "Champagne avail. upon request" sign shortly after the United flight left.

So I'm looking at changing a return reward ticket booked for August. One possibility is CDG-ORD in Global First, connecting to a US flight to PHL. By then, of course, US will no longer be in the *A. I assume this won't affect my ability to access the IFL in ORD since I'm coming off a GF flight?

Flying FRA to ORD in Global first (award) and then flying in coach on a separate ticket onward domestically from ORD. Can I access the GFL in ORD in this circumstance, or will it be a no go because it's not all on one itinerary? Thanks.

I assume this was at IAD? I agree the UCs at IAD are awful.....the worst systemwide IMHO. Frankly, I didn't think much of the GF lounge at IAD when I was there in July/August last year......but at least it was not as crowded and dumpy as the UCs at IAD. The UA IAD experience is so poor, I don't know why Washington/Virginia residents don't revolt in mass and refuse to fly from there.

Arriving in F on NH, you shouldn't receive access to the Global First lounge.

Just show the BP at ORD and they'll let you in. I've done this before with no problems.

Anyone know what time the IFL at ORD opens weekday mornings?
Anyone know what time the IFL at ORD opens weekday mornings? I searched both on FT and UA.com and only saw info on the UC hours, not the IFL.
Thx in advance for your help
