As a Greek, I am well-acquainted with the Greek attitude toward customer service and I question whether Aman will be able to find enough individuals who buy into its philosophy.

I read the Kathimerini article, and found it very interesting.

I hope I'm wrong as I'd love to have somewhere convenient and wonderful to escape to for a few days while visiting my parents every summer but I have my doubts.

I have searched and read the posts on Aman Porto Heli. Just expressing my shock that investors are willing to depend on Greeks to deliver the type of customer service that is customary at an Aman Resort.

Yes, I am aware that both FS and Aman have properties on several continents.

I would like this info too!

Pictures look nice, but pavilions look close one to another. It seems there is a kind of gate between two pavilions (for family accomodation?).

I also wonder how Amanzoe will compare to Amanruya because these two resorts are very similar. All other Aman property seem to have a unique personality, but not in this case.

I mean they are two mediterranean resorts with sea views, they have a lot in common and even if design and architecture is different they share many similarities.

From what I understood official opening date will not be confirmed before May or June.

I found an aerial view:

Amanzoe is easily accessible from Athens (25 min by helicopter / 2,5 hours drive / 2 hours by boat), it is a good point.

Two different countries and cultures. Different design. Different excursions. For example. I do not see why these resorts are less unique than many others. Three amans at Bali for example. All great. Yes to more Mediterranean amans!!

Amankea is the other major Aman project in Greece, on the island of Kea, around 40 mins by boat from Athens port. The economy slowed this one down as they were looking for investors to buy residences to help with the build costs. Architect is John Heah (of FS Sian). Not cancelled, just dormant. Maybe Amanzoe will help boost interest.
