New Four Seasons Website

Just went to www.fourseasons.com and it went to a preview site of their new website. Don't know if this has been posted before but here is the site.

exactly as i originally wondered, all rates gone. (but packages listed.)

so much for FS rate integrity and great website.

and theyve gotten rid of hotel fact sheet. seriously? you have to go to meetings and full "quick reference guide" pdf.

You've been posting about this for months.... let them finish their project and then make your judgements. The end result will be positive I believe.

ive been updating, not repeating. i dont claim to speak for anyone.

youre suggesting theyre not removing rates?

I agree Kage. Rate transparency is one of the parts of booking a Four Seasons vacation which my family greatly appreciates. It even makes a difference where we book, i.e. Four Seasons, or Ritz-Carlton, Rosewood, Peninsula.

I am finding, increasingly, that FS hotels do not even bother to print rack rates anymore. This is also true of other high-end groups, like MO and Peninsula.

The only consistently transparent group appears to be Aman, who publish all their rates online and also in their brochures.

How on earth are you meant to work out a travel itinerary/budget and choose a level of accommodation if they give you no idea of the various rates across the year?

The "rate project" is a big project and its not finished yet... it is constantly being tweaked and rolled out slowly. Give them some time to properly finish it

sounds good

theyre integrating the newsletter/magazine/web content into "sister" sites for some hotels, for example http://ritzlisbon.com/
interesting they are newer, but only linked on old website, not new preview website, at least that i am seeing

After years on the old one (also not great) this will be an adjustment. Seems to have gone from the staid to the mildly busy/frenetic, but if a work in process maybe it will all calm down to one of those websites it is pleasure to navigate.

It looks like the new website may have some positive qualities, it will just take some time to get used to it. What I don't understand is why they don't keep it under wraps until it is complete. I thought the tripadvisor link was interesting

less than a month later, theyre redirecting to new site

you can still access original ratecards (for how long?) (not these)

a positive - some properties listing some excursions on rates page now, some with prices (both versions of site)

What exactly is wrong with not having all rates on the website?

...with all of those graphics it takes a while to load in slower public access points. I like the quick reservation lookup on the home page. Similar to my wish on RC's site however, I wish that they 'd let you switch hotels on the results screen instead of having to go back to the home page. I also would like to be able to search FHR and other rate codes on there...but apparently that improvement wasnt added. Without doing a deep dive on all of the site's features, I'd say the new site looks pretty good and the improved images look good too.

New Four Seasons Website SUCKS

The website really sucks.

Looks crappy.

Loads slowly, and I have T1 connection.

Pictures take precedence and are way too big at top of each page.

If I actually used their website to book rooms at their properties, it would be a MAJOR TURN OFF.

Dreadful redesign.

I agree that the new website is not useful. I am trying to locate an email address for the concierge in Mumbai, as they haven't replied to the online form I filled out a week ago. Does anyone have the email address for Mumbai FS?

Are you a tweeter? @FSMumbai

Have you tried calling? Front Desk 91 (22) 2481-8000

Facebook : Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai

I am not saying you should have to go to these lengths to receive a response, but if you have an urgent query....

I'm not a huge fan of the new website...

It's much slower....

But, I really can't seem to find what hotels are offering the spa escape promotion. there used to be a dedicated page listing all the hotels at
http://www.fourseasons.com/special_o...ape_promotion/
but now I can't find the equivalent...

can anyone find it?
