Rosewood Mayakoba uses an outside company for snorkeling with whale sharks. I've wanted to do this for quite a while. Peak is July/August so it will be hot.

No different when Nov 1 falls on a Wednesday in France -- there, you get no e-mail responses for the entire week!!

managing director, 28-year-old Vorasit Issara...indentured himself to legendary hotelier Bob Burns, founder of Regent Hotels. Under Burns he learned the finer arts of hospitality at Villa Feltrinelli in Lake Garda, Italy, then came home to finesse his craft at the Mandarin Oriental in Bangkok. (Burns has since become Wan’s mentor and is a regular guest at Sri Panwa.)

owned by Thailand’s Charn Issara property group. Originally conceived as an exclusive home, plus villas for sale, for patriarch Songkran Issara and his family, the site has morphed from two villas in 2004 to its current and final inventory of 70 villas [opened 2006]

Hmmm. Not sure this is entirely kosher. I also worry when a hotel cannot spell i.e. "Click on the comments listed to the left to read about what our past guest's have said about their stay at Sri panwa."
