When do the Bassinet locations open up?
The bulkhead row in WT+ (BA118, 777) shows all Cot seats available, until I click on my head and go green, as which stage they grey out?
Currently T-31... Can't believe I'm saying this already but, Whats the point in Gold Status if you can't do something as simple as reserve a seat? (to ensure you don't have a screaming brat next to you)

Defnitely by OLCI at T-24. Sometimes can be as early as T-72, ie. 3 days before but no guarantee of this.

No I dont think we have meet.... and Yes I was, back in the day when children were seen and not heard, also my parents wouldn't of dreamed of letting me scream for 9 hrs in a confined space. Unfortunatly we live in an age where Parents seem to think we all want to hear the whining of their adorable offspring, actively encouraging it at times... It would be nice not to have it in my ear again quite so soon! Sorry if my comments upset you.
I take it you don't know the answer to the question I posted?

I assume you could get a bulkhead if you took the seat not associated to the cot position (4 cot positions, 8 seats across???).

So what's supposed to happen in your little bubble? Golds get to reserve the first row with the bassinet locations, then those with infants get to sit in the row behind, without the cot position?

I believe the window seat is reserved for the cot so it does not block others from exiting in case of emergency. I also believe that even if you to get the window at T24, you could still be bumped if an infant does show up (it even happens to the much coveted 747 Old First 1A/1K). Who knows where you would end up then (not likely the bulkhead at that point).

Having asked this very question of the helpline on a recent holiday when it happened to me...
Although the front row opens up for booking at T=72, the actual cot seats are only available if you have an infant in your party. They don't open up properly until t-24 when they are fair game for all.

In my bubble there would be no 'cots; and I'd have peace and quiet...I've got a bulkhead seat thanks, I'd like a window seat aswell, but they seem to be reserved for babies to look out of...Isn't there some way kids can be stored in the hold... It wouldn't need to be exclusive to kids, the parents can sit with them as well..I'm not a meanie!!

These rants about children always amaze me. I have been far more disturbed on flights, especially in Club, by loud and obnoxious bankerly/lawyerly adults than by kids. The worst is when the (adult) person in the next seat starts to snore: the Club seats positively reverberate with snoring.

I'm amazed at the predictability of the process.
Isn't there a catch-all thread about children on flights? If not, I might start one (and stand well back!)
- Dismissive comment about children
- Indignant response in their defence
- Over-reaction in reply
- Go to point 3 and repeat.

If you have the infant already booked against your name then your seat is unchangeable online - you have to call. I did this with an F trip and they gave us 1A because that was the bassinet position (someone was actually moved apparently). My wife had to sit wherever though.
I have a CW trip coming up with him and so booked our tickets first - changed seats, then added my little one.
