Sweet - I'm happy to hear that somebody is successfully taking advantage of this deal. ^

Since you apparently already have one booked, you can check it yourself, can't you? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/south...ailablity.html

You have now posted this request in three separate threads, kind of overkill and a ft tos violation. Plus in your original post about how to check yourself with a booked award, you were told how to check yourself. Maybe instead of starting multiple posts, you just put that effort in following the advice in response to your original thread that you started.

Thanks for the heads up. I saved myself $49,- on a r/t flight I had booked from ISP > BWI back in March. Will use those pesos toward the purchase of another reasonably priced flight.

And then maybe jfsva can put some effort into writing in complete sentences and using spell check!

Pathetic - their San Diego to Sacramento route fell in the mid tier - over $200 with taxes. They used to put it in the cheap route. A sale like this even last year was under $100.

Pieces o.s.

Southwest's fares are crud.

I have a question about this flight sale. My husband and I were planning on flying roundtrip from Nashville to Panama City Beach in October. At lunch today there were still $40 return flights available. When I went to book this evening, however, the return flight we wanted had jumped up to $190, and the two other return flights to Nashville were $166 each.

I did notice, however, that there is still a flight to New Orleans that changes planes in Nashville for $40. Could we book this flight and just not reboard the plane? What about our luggage? Would it show up in the carousel for us just like for people who are on the plane with a direct flight to Nashville?

Please advise. Thanks!

That is called hidden city ticketing and, unlike most airlines, is perfectly legal on WN. However, your luggage absolutely will not be deplaned in Nashville. You can only do this if you carry-on

From the customer service commitment:
With respect to all of our fares, Southwest Airlines does not prohibit or penalize what is commonly known as ―hidden city‖ ticketing, nor does it prohibit or penalize what is commonly known as ―back–to-back‖ ticketing. ―Hidden city‖ and ―back-to-back‖ reservations and tickets are authorized for travel on Southwest Airlines. It is important to note that your luggage will be checked to the final destination as shown in your reservation record. Should you choose to deplane at a stopover or connection point, you will be responsible for making arrangements to have your luggage delivered to you. Southwest will not entertain a lost or delayed baggage claim or interim expenses in this circumstance.

I saw AUS-MDW in November at $80 through BNA available MTuWThSa on my search last night; Friday and Sunday were $180+ though. Ended up booking COUA at same price (due to Sunday return) though just for the direct flight and assigned seats.

Did pick up some MCO flights though, with an extra leg thrown in for options.

Midway is part of the promotion for at least some routes. (MCI-MDW, for example.)

Legacies are matching on at least some of their ORD fares.

This is stellar - just bought a trip to Vegas for $100 RT. Haven't been able to do that since just after 9/11.

Wish I could do more but the my fall schedule is already filling up and the exclusion of FR/SU is a big

Hidden city ticketing is o.k., but just to make sure: overnight stopovers are NEVER o.k. on WN tickets, right? $40 special or not, RR award or paid ticket, overnight stopovers always require buying two one way tickets on WN, right?
