I got an email last week from my contact at Delta and also confirmed it with the ajc writer - that it would occur "over the holidays" and possibly this Thanksgiving weekend.

As of yet, I haven't seen it or been able to find it online.

+1 My guess is that the article is done and just waiting for placement. I suspect when it is actually published we will get a heads up and we can let everyone else know.

I did post that in the Lounge last week... see note above.

Stay tuned

I happened to speak to several ACS employees late last week, and they told me to say hello, and to let everyone know they are still talking about the weekend the ACS employees spent with the FlyerTalk members. They actually published an article about the event in the Delta ATL "Above the Wing" internal newsletter.

I shared the feedback from the event, and they are more than willing to have another "Walk a mile" event, and yes... the afternoon shift would be interesting to work.

Feb 27 (late afternoon) through the evening of March 2 works for me. I still have the navy blue suit I bought for the October event as well as my white Delta shirt, so I am set up.

However, make certain that this time all the meals are free (I will be in ATL those days on my way back from LAS and I probably will not able to afford even a hot dog).

For those of you who went through Road Warrior Training -

Check out this short segment on ABC News.

Look familiar? You might even recognize one of the FA trainers...

I was at the ATL airport yesterday meeting Toddler and Mr. Cellisttoo who stopped over during their mileage run from STL to OGG. In chatting with a red coat who was working their ATL-HNL flight, I mentioned that I had been a gate agent for the morning during the recent flyertalk event. She got really excited and mentioned that she wasn't there for the event but that she had seen a write up about it (the one written by a fellow FTer). She had posted the link on her facebook page and also sent it to many of her friends, because she thought that it described so well what she did.

I also ran into the red coat who had sheparded the Sunday morning crew through security, when I when to the gate pass line (so that I could see the other Cellisttoos). We talked for a while and she mentioned that she felt that the gate agent for the morning was a wonderful event, a real highlight of her career. She had many wonderful things to say about it! (As did I!)

On my MSP to ATL flight, sat in the exit row. The FA attendant implored me to read the safety card, but I mentioned that I had opened the door of a 757 in the past. Resulted in an interesting coversation.

Thanks to everyone who helped make this all possible- it was truly the best field trip ever.

The person who opened the door forgot to hold onto the plane, not the door.

: )

I thought the same thing!

(He then walked out the door, so maybe he knew the jetway was there & it wasn't an emergency situation. But shouldn't they still hold on so it becomes habit?)
