SC -- worth the money. For that long a layover? Yes, I'd buy it even though JFK is not one of the best clubs in the system.

You might consider a 30 day membership depending on how many of you are traveling and how long a layover you have on your return. $90 for 30 days, unlimited visits for you + 2. Enjoy Istanbul!
Also, I've used the Oasis lounge in T-4 with the 30 day membership. Bring an extra copy of your membership printout, as they sometimes keep it.

The lounges are much nicer now than they used to be and the one I camped out in the other night for a few hours was WAY nicer than the terminal. Some photos (including the bar menus) are here.
Still, I'd really try to find something else to do for the 6 hours I think. That's a long time to spend in any lounge, especially a domestic one. If you're light on baggage you can easily spend a few hours in Manhattan for less than the $50 admission fee to the lounge. Even the Oasis lounge - which is much nicer than the SkyClubs - would try my patience after a couple hours.

JFK terminal-sky club question
tomorrow (sat) i'm flying BE JFK to LHR - the flight is listed as leaving from gate 15, which according to the map seems to be in T3. I had heard that the SC in T2 was better. can you get from T2 to T3 once you go thru security? thanks

Unless something has changed recently, BE check-in is in T2, so the OP is likely to be there anyway. I wouldn't bother going from T3 to T2 for the lounge and then back to T3 but if you're checking in at T2, I'd use that SC.

I think we will use the Sky Club. We both have carry-ons, which discourages us from trying to visit Manhattan. I am just three weeks post surgery for a hip replacement so rushing around is not appealing to me.
At JFK I will use the wheelchair service, but they will never leave me with the wheelchair. I have to go directly to the departure gate, switch from the wheelchair to a chair near the gate and just wait there. If we are in the Sky Club I assume the staff there will have no difficulty getting a wheelchair for me to reach the gate. Would you agree with that assumption?

Flying via JFK this weekend to BCN. According to the DL website, we will be arriving at gate 25 (assuming T2) but our BCN flight will be leaving out of T4-B20.
Which SkyClub is the better one to use waiting on this flight? I'm assuming that there is no SC in T4.
How long does it take to get from T2 to T4?
Thanks.
