The Arch, London
Has anyone tried this hotel yet? It's new, and it looks pretty good (especially with all those gadgets).

It is, apparently, part of the AB Hotels Collection, a group of three individually unique and family-owned hotels, venues and facilities in southeast England, including Sopwell House in St. Albans and Five Lakes in Maldon, Essex. Am I meant to be impressed by this?

I was looking to book this hotel, but their promo of 3 for 2 is unavailable on the dates I need. Are there any other promo's out there for other boutique hotels out there? Thanks ! Looking to spend about $350/night US.

always nice wording - "first night of a three-night stay" (pick expensive date)
and "first drink from the bar for the 1910 price"
virtuoso benefits are better than signature at goring, but signature can be booked online > http://www.whatahotel.com/browse_hotel.cfm?hotelID=1146

Ah, I was wondering what all those logos on their web page meant... Pity they don't seem to be in Virtuoso though. And no one's been there? Guess it's back to the Stafford!

They are probably working with everyone they can to drive bookings. If the property has legs and guests come back, logically they would pull back on the partnerships as they will be able to fill the rooms with guests who book direct and cut back on their commission payments.

I can see their logic, to be honest. It is very difficult to launch a new high end property these days with no recognised chain name on the door, especially in London where there is plenty of competition and another high end property is not exactly news.

I was doing some housekeeping of my phone photos and came across images we (with Mrs. Kilo) took from a stay in this hotel 2 years ago.
I dont remember every fine detail of this stay. The hotel is a boutique hotel located in a quiet Iah neighbourhood. It is isnt too far from tube stations. I think you could easily walk to Edgeware road or possibly Paddington.
We stayed in a one BR Chancery suite on the ground floor. For one night. It was a nice suite which had a slight feel of an apartment as opposed to a hotel room.

Staff were very pleasant. We had interactions with them at check in and later that night because of a service issue ( which they resolved to the best of their ability without having to move us - we did not want to move that late.
There was a home cinema system system in the living room. Also there was a skybox (satellite set top box) in the room -so you operate it as you would at home.
We we ate at the restaurant in the evening. Very nice meal if somewhat pricey. We ordered breakfast to the room next day.
We didnt use any other facilities in the hotel

Generally not a qood idea to bump such an old thread as the information is often outdated. I'll let the last post stand, but suggest that the FT Community will be better served if I close this thread. Feel free to start a new thread on this property.
