The pool at the Luxor has a theme and that theme is concrete. Lots of concrete. There are two pools, and they are both pretty big. They have cabanas IIRC. There are some trees lining the periphery but the pool area is not in the same league as the MB's pool. Bottom line: Not horrible, and not awesome. Just like the Luxor itself.

I notice the Mandalay Bay has a lazy river and wave pool. Is there any way to get access to Mandalay even though I am booked at Luxor, they are owned by the same company so I thought perhaps we could get access. Or do you have any other suggestions on best pools? Thanks a lot!
Does Mandalay Bay offer a day pass to the pool area for non guests?
For guest safety and security, the Lagoon is open only to registered guests of Mandalay Bay or TheHotel; however, a non–guest can have access by renting a cabana Monday thru Thursday. Please call Cabana Reservations at 702.632.7997 for reservations and questions.

Lots of people try to sneak in. They are pretty vigilant on checking keys. Especially on the weekends. The LV Four Seasons shares the MB pool area. They have a separate section. Its worth looking into booking there or theHotel..

Monte Carlo has a small one (no sand), as well as a lazy river (no waterfall).

I know they recently renovated a bit, so see what's changed.

Monte Carlo had one cabana with a small pool that was roped off from their main pool complex. Call 702-730-7010 or [email protected].

I enjoyed the Luxor pool area. Wide range of age groups at the pool from young partiers to more relaxed 40-50 year olds. The pool was lively and fun. Don't go if you're looking for quiet.

Help with Vegas Pool Situation

Hi, so I am staying at the Venetian in the next few weeks for 3 nights and I was wondering how the pool situation in Vegas worked...

It seems like most pools you have to be a guest to visit the pool area (aka Wynn), is that true? and if thats true is there any way around that... such as buying a pool pass or someones room key? i'm pretty sure you just have to flash it on your way to the pool, not sign in anywhere or anything like that?

And there are some pools which you can pay to get into (hard rock, mirage (bare), Tao Beach) roughly $10-20 weekdays and $20-40 weekends....

As far as whats available to me... Venetian Pool(s) and Pay for pools... which ones would be the best to go to Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (i'm pretty sure Rehab - Hard Rock is a Sunday thing?). Also is Tao Beach available to me for free as I am staying at the Venetian?

Also for these pools when is the best time to get there as to avoid a line, if such a line exists... and random question... but if you go Tao Beach at night... i'm assuming you dress to go out not to go to the pool?

Thanks again for any help.

Swimming Pools open late February

Are there any of the hotels on the Strip that would have outdoor swimming pool open during the last week of February? Taking my family to Vegas for a few days and my young ones just love to swim and I would like to get some sun. Are there any options?

You do realize the average temperature in Vegas in February :

February
High 63 F (17 C)
Low 39 F (4 C)

I seem to recall that Mandalay was always your best bet for year round (outdoor) pools.

Have you considered Mexico, Hawaii, the Caribbean or South Florida instead of Vegas in February (if young kids + sun + pool are a priority).

Swam yesterday at the Venetian where at least one pool and jacuzzi are kept heated and open year-round. Pool was heated to 70-72 F, jacuzzi to 100 F, outdoor temperature was 60-65 F. There were people "getting some sun" but YMMV. Pool availability and hours depends on the individual hotel, try their websites.
