When updating the counters, user post numbers were re calculated based on the number of active posts in the database. This usually makes people's posts drop because of posts they've made in deleted threads. If this is a terrible displacement for anyone, we can update their count from the backup database.

Good! Let me know if you are done fixing the servers. It should be corrections back to normal routine number of the post count.

Because post counts aren't that big of a deal for some people. If it is going to be a manual process, we would only like to focus on updating the post counts of people who really, seriously care. We are looking into automating the process of updating people's post counts, but haven't decided if that is the solution we want to go with.

I just spot a new problem.
I was about to double quote a post in my next reply. However, when I clicked on the post # (the number located to the upper right hand corner of each post), it showed as a broken link:

Everyone will continue to see this error the first time they log in since the data corruption. The only way to fix this would be too taxing on the system. We understand that it's distracting, but it will go away.
Here are the proofs:
1. I've been logging in and out numerous times today but I haven't seen that tardy, or should I say retarded, January welcome message. Not even once.
2. Others are able to keep the invisible mode, but I am currently stripped from that option. That option is removed from my profile since 4/8/09.

I'm also still having trouble:
From http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/conti...ds-merged.html when I click on the "last" link to go to the most recent thread, I get a page not found error.

It appears the thread addresses have gone back from the new long descriptives to the "traditional" numbered system.
For instance: the address for this thread is now http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=941791
Not sure if this counts as a problem though.

OMNI and OMNI/PR disappeared
Now, I'm getting "page not found" errors for all posts in OMNI and OMNI/PR. The thread titles appear on the main page but no posts.
I guess this means I have to work.
I've also dropped like 18 posts on my count but I'm not one to care.
*As of 4:15 or so PDT, it's back up. Disaster (work) avoided.
