New Airbus

I've heard from SAS sales employee, that the new airbus will only fly on CPH-Delhi in first months after introduction in SEP2001. Do anyone have other details or plan for introduction..

Hmm. Interesting. I was under the impression that it would be used for the Atlantic routes. Well, I'm out of upgrade coupons at present so who cares

From August 10th to August 31st, the A340 will fly CPH-ARN-CPH (SK 400/407, SK 412/419, and SK 420/427 or 422/429). On August 31st, the A340 moves to the CPH-DEL-CPH service.

Why is this route selected ?? Is it a "flagship" route for SAS ??? Do they need more capacity on this ???

I would think CPH-SIN was in need of capacity urgently...

I think it is because they only recieve one 340 in the beginning, and they only fly that route 5 days a week. Then they have time for airplane checkups.
Maybe they need the extra seats on the route because Air India's route to Copenhagen is on that plane too

Last delivery schedule I've seen is: one A-340 each in July, September, October, November 2001, and January 2002, plus two in April 2002. First A-330 is expected in August 2002.
